V20/370 crashes during rendering

Just updated from V17 (which finally worked fine) and hoped for the best.
During creation there are no issues.
But rendering crashes(freezes machine) every time.
Computer Ryzen2950 Threadripper, 64GBRam, 1080GTX, all SSD
Video material is from Iphone 13 proMax MOV 12MP Pictures 4032x3024pix
Project setting is HD 1080-30p (1920x1080; 29,970 fps)
Rendering setting: MAGIX AVC/AAC MP4 Internet HD 1080p 29,97 fps
GPU acceleration on or off do not make any difference
Dynamic Ram setting does not help either.

It is a 30 seconds clip, that crashes at around 7-16 seconds after start of rendering...
idea?

You should check your media properties with Mediainfo and post the result here:
https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/
You can also upload a piece of your media file to Dropbox or another hoster so that other users can sample the file.

What happens next, does it recover, do you have to power your computer down?

That's a pretty meaningless term, what are you turning on or off, GPU processing, GPU decoding, or Hardware encoding, what's on and what's off?

Computer has to be forced to shut off. Frozen.
