Vegas 17Pro rendering issue

bartheezzzz wrote on 7/9/2022, 7:33 AM

hi. please help, I don't know what's going on. after editing the movie in vegas 17 pro I render in my settings (same preset every time). The rendering is complete, but the icon is "spinning" - there is a close button. After clicking "close" in the message window, the file as if it would not be fully rendered. Sometimes the file starts halfway, sometimes I get the information that it is not rendered

You should give us more information, otherwise this will be a question - answer game.
Use this as a roadmap, and start at B and C.

Vegas 17 (build 455)

Win 10 prof. 21H2 compilation: 19043.1766

it is about rendering mp4 files

Problem:

As you can see in the video, everything goes to the end, except for the shooting of icons, it goes to the end of the rendering. As you can see the render window button "close" appears. The first file I run is the whole movie that only works until 7:33 am, then freezes. The second one, which I rendered at the end, does not want to show the image at all. Can someone help you help? Let me just add that so far the rendering has always come out rights

@bartheezzzz Hi, you need to read @walter-i. link better & give more info, system specs, full name of CPU, GPU & amount of RAM. you have Nvidia set as decoder in Preferences - video but what is the choice in Preferences - File I/O,?

In your render options you have Mainconcept chosen, this is using your CPU to render, what happens if you choose NV Encoder or use one of the render options with (NVENC) at the end, ?

MP4 is just a container, within that is a variety of information, there's a tool called MediaInfo, download it, it's quick & free https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo
After downloading, right click on the media in your Windows folder, open MediaInfo, choose Text from the View option, select all, copy & paste in a comment here,

Graphics Card Nvidia 1050Ti 4GB

CPU Ryzen 7 3800X

Mainboard: MSI X570A PRO

RAM: 16GB Patriot 2x 8GB SK Hynix

I changed nothing in the past, this was the hardware configuration and there were no problems so far, everything worked. Now this is what happens when assembling the material. Even from the previous project I tried to render and the same cannot be done

bartheezzzz wrote on 7/9/2022, 10:53 AM

I have no idea why this is happening, is it the fault of the program? Is it the fault of some update? Maybe I should install something, maybe some Vegas update?

... after changing the settings, which you also presented me with the same

Former user wrote on 7/9/2022, 11:12 AM

@bartheezzzz Check your GPU driver is up to date, Studio drive 516.59

I use Geforce Experience for that, https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/geforce-experience/

Did you try the NV encoder or the option with (NVENC) at the end?

bartheezzzz wrote on 7/9/2022, 11:33 AM

yes - it's the same

when it comes to drivers - I will install it, but you can turn off the help of the graphics card - and it was the same without it...

I even uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, still the same. It's nice that despite reinstalling my settings are saved, I just don't know where they are saved. Maybe if I removed all the settings and reinstalled it would do something, but I wouldn't want to lose the settings

@bartheezzzz I that both the option in Preferences - File I/O & in Preferences - Video ?

bartheezzzz wrote on 7/9/2022, 12:17 PM

yes.

for me it clearly cannot cope with rendering, the whole process goes normally, only rendering is turned off quickly at the end and the CLOSE button appears quickly. Until now, even after the countdown was over, it was necessary to wait some time for the CLOSE button to appear. Now as I rendered it is a black image and Media Player Classic for material playback displays "cannot render material"

bartheezzzz wrote on 7/9/2022, 12:25 PM

hands drop what happened?

bartheezzzz wrote on 7/9/2022, 12:39 PM

the second file, the rights of which I did not edit, I just put the raw one into rendering without the help of GPU in preferences and I / O:

per 6.33 image movie the movie only opens for a minute and that's it

bartheezzzz wrote on 7/9/2022, 12:41 PM

any ideas? Are the creators of VEGAS reading this?

bartheezzzz wrote on 7/9/2022, 12:53 PM

on old vegas 13 renders normally, vegas 17 does not work!

Former user wrote on 7/9/2022, 1:58 PM

@bartheezzzz

yes.

@bartheezzzz Why have you disabled the GPU in both these pics above? the amount of ram you have dedicated to Dynamic RAM is quite high to say you only have 16GB, that doesn't leave a lot for your system to work with, lower the Dynamic RAM & turn on Nvidia on both windows & choose a render option with (NVENC) at the end

bartheezzzz wrote on 7/9/2022, 2:43 PM

I do not know how it happened, but it started, now I have it set up in this way and it worked, I will still test if it is not a coincidence that it did not work. But ufff we managed to render the material :) it was very annoying. settings worked on Intel QSV

bartheezzzz wrote on 7/9/2022, 2:44 PM

I previously disabled the graphics card support option to eliminate its problem
