I hate to be presumptuous, but I'd be happy to pay for this ...

Will either Liam/Jay or Sony themselves be shooting at least the V6 and DVDA3 sessions and making them available to the geographically challenged, as Liam did so well last year?
Yoyodyne wrote on 3/24/2005, 12:00 AM
I second that thought!

Ok! I wasn't planning on making the announcement quite yet - But, I will say for the record that the SCVUG will once again be producing, editing and streaming the **New Releases Training Sessions** from NAB, for all Vegas User's, Worldwide.

The Streams will be available for viewing on Tuesday April 19th. The SCVUG has built a brand new website that will be centered around the NAB Streaming project. I will announce the new name and Url next week.

In the meantime - please stay tuned on the SCVUG.com Yahoo site for more forthcoming details.

Ok... I'm a bloody GEEK! I felt my heart pound a little with excited happiness when I heard this.
*sigh* I'm hopeless.

Vegas 6 and DVDA6, can't wait to see what new features the software has to offer.

edit: On what date is the presentation on?
p@mast3rs wrote on 3/24/2005, 12:46 AM
I have no clue. What I posted came directly from the Sony newsletter email.

Peter,

This year the Streams, Graphics, Editing and Presentations will be much better than last year's. My Colleague and SCVUG Co-host Liam Kennedy and I have been hard at work on this project.

For those of you who are attending NAB and would like to help out and maybe earn a credit - let us know.

Get as far as entering my details, hit Submit and wait and wait and wait. Some wierd things going on. If I try to open another instance of IE and goto this forum it times out.
Kind of makes it hard to register.
Bob.

Grazie, instead of watching it, why don't you get your sorry butt over here and see it live? :-)
After all, if Bob (farss) and friends can come all the way from Australia, you should be able to make it too!!

It's interesting that no one from Sony is posting yet. I guess the beta-testers are still under NDA.

FrigidNDEditing wrote on 3/24/2005, 9:22 AM
That's gonna be another $300 out for the upgrade to V6 + DVDA3 (I don't have DVDA right now, just Vegas 5)

Dave

(Edit: that $300 rebate from the DVX100A I just got should cover that nicely :-)

Wow that made my day !
busterkeaton wrote on 3/24/2005, 9:55 AM
I think it cost me $199 to go from Vegas4 to Vegas5+DVD. There was a discount if you upgraded early. Then it went to $249.
FrigidNDEditing wrote on 3/24/2005, 10:08 AM
EVEN BETTER!
