3:00 p.m. DVD Architect 3 New Features"

Are these every day? Where abouts?

I for one am not buying anything pre-NAB. Post-NAB will probably be a bit of a feeding frenzy. I'm doing my homework via VASST HDV and trying to be a bit on the cutting edge up here in the Rockies. We've got a new regional TV station coming into the valley, and the first public access TV in US (Grassroots TV, 1971) working to be involved. It's a very exciting time. Go Sony. Go Vegas. Darryl

"Cheating is bad. Cheating is bad. Cheating is bad....unless you can make millions with it."

Those are the exact words I used when I had my talk with her!

pmasters,

About the Cineform plug-in.... if I recall correctly, prior to Vegas 4, there was a plug-in pack for Vegas 3 that Sonic Foundry released for about $120. These plugs were then included in Vegas 4. Those of us that bought the plug-in pack within some timeframe before the V4 release got what I recall was a dollar-for-dollar discount.... perhaps a rough analogy for your situation.

I have NO inside information, and lord knows I'm no beta tester. Just saying that something roughly similiar was handled in a very fair manner by Sonic Foundry.

I know this is heresy, but I would love to know if anything has been "fixed" from the last three versions. Doesn't make for good advertising, of course, but SHOULD be of interest to most of us.

Listen to all of ya....all giddy and stuff.....heh. I love ya guys.

But seriously....these shows.....do they have Booth Babes ? You know, models walkin about in little outfits pushing different products and posing for pictures. Personally I think that would be interesting to see streamed out ? No ?

Hey, what did ya expect ?....I'm Stonefield !

Great job on the streaming last year guys. You should be very proud of that work.

Most of the camera "companies" like Sony have a display allowing you to try out the cameras on a well lit set with various models generally looking very bored and just chatting with each other. I like your idea much more.... maybe next year you could pursuade Sony to get you down here and do the "Sonefield" treatment. It would certainly draw some attention!

In any case we'll definitely be lloking for opportunities to capture more than just the seminars... and we'll keep you informed of plans.

Thanks for the comments about last years streaming... hopefully this year we can manage an even better job.

Stay tuned!

"do they have Booth Babes ?"

Well, I hear Spot's gonna be running around in a Speedo.

And I heard that DIRECTLY from the new CEO of Sony.

Now THAT would clear the show floor in a hurry. :-)

Honestly, because of all the seminar sessions, I'll probably only be on the showfloor for Monday morning and Tuesday morning. I'm hoping that some of you will be coming to the various Post Production Conference sessions. Great stuff there.

Well, y'know what? I might just find the money to travel from London for this:

Hold on Grazie, you can find some shots of Spot on the beach at http://www.cr-home-videos.com and save some money. Just go to the samples page and check out the VASST Visit To Hawaii video. Granted, he's not in a speedo (shiver), but he is half necked diving off the rock at Waimea Bay ;-).
Aloha,
Randy
(Spot's gonna kill me for this, ha!)

I have one question to ask which will NOT let the cat out of the bag if it is answered directly.

Have any bugs or long standing complaints in previous versions been addressed in this new version?
