It has been "hit or miss" with me for a few versions now. I have an alternative screen capture that I use. And then there is OBS.

I have the same problem but can find no answer. I have upgraded from pro 21 where it worked ok to pro 23 where it does not. Is the answer really it is hit or miss and if it dont work use something else?

Vegas display screen capture has never really worked consistently for me and only with some gpus... did it ever work for you with vp21? If it still works, you should be able to continue using vp21 for capture. But I suggest you do screen capture either with an app from your gpu maker or with free OBS Studio. To make matters worse, Nvidia & Intel are now putting drm-related blocking in their latest drivers. I have the least issues capturing with OBS, which seems to work with all gpu & igpu brands. And with Amd gpus capturing via their driver app. Keep in mind that gpu-maker apps will generally only capture from a display plugged into their gpu and that many laptop displays are hard-wired to an igpu.
