Nick Hope, thank you very much!

As things stand, if you can't get Vegas2Handbrake working (likely), then I would render out an intermediate file (I use MagicYUV RGB for this) and render an MP4 file with x264 in Handbrake.

I have downloaded the "MagicYUV_v1.2_win-rev2". How should I configure it please? Thanks.

Change compression method to "Gradient (faster decode)" which uses more disk space but plays smoother.

I have a newer version with different controls so the other settings are a bit difficult to advise on without seeing what is available in the drop down menus. Do you have just one choice in the "Video format" menu in the left window? (in later versions there are many MagicYUV choices in that menu). If you have a "MagicYUV - RGB" choice there then choose that. If not, then in "Mode (conversion)" choose RGB if it's available. If it's not available in either then leave it as it is.

Other settings are viable but these are the ones that have been working well for me.

Nick Hope, many thanks! Getting a newer version of MagicYUV will be the solution, I guess.

While waiting for your answer I was concentrating on something else and – great news – last night I succeeded in the Vegas2Handbrake method! Yesssss!! 😄

I still can't believe it…

It sure wasn't without complications and I had to restart the whole procedure several times from scratch: had to read the instructions more carefully, re-install the components, etc., but effort bears fruit and, thanks to your help and also to some older posts I found on this extraordinary website, I finally made it work. With both versions of Vegas Pro! The moment when I saw handbrake suddenly pop up and open by itself – gosh, it was magical! I was quite proud of myself. But enough about me, no more boasting, anyway compared to your knowledge (and John Dennis' and Musicvid's) I know that I know nothing, lol. Just wanted to share my joy/enthusiasm with you and to thank you again, from the bottom of my heart.

For those who might be lost in the whole Vegas2Handbrake story like I was several days ago, here are two more links that helped me:

VP9 in process on yt right now… will be back asap with the final results.
