I have a Dell Precision 5510 Laptop that I have been using with Vegas 14 on windows 10 for a while. Since Vegas 15 has been very "buggy" I have not even bother to install Vegas 15 on this machine until today.
When i try to install Vegas 15 it runs the initial extracting process all the way to 100% then you see the asterisk animation for a fraction of a second then it crashes. I thought it was a problem with Vegas 15. Since I don't see any error messages or logs anywhere, I made the mistake of trying to boot on safe mode so i can do troubleshoot the installation with less drivers or apps loaded...long story short ...the boot manager got corrupted somehow so I ended up doing a fresh installation of Windows 10.
Now i am trying to re-install Vegas Pro 14 and i am seeing the same problem! The only things i can think of is that somehow Windows 10 made some changes to the OS with their automated updates (big one was pushed a month ago) and now there is a problem with installing Vegas.
Anyone out there seen this or know of a solution? My main system has both Vegas 14 and Vegas 15 but they were installed before the big Windows 10 update.
