Vegas Pro 15 Error 2147163964

I upgraded to Vegas Pro 15 after having install issues with Sony Vegas 13...

I checked on this forum that my Lenovo ideapad 320 was compatible with Vegas 15 and was directed to an article that pointed out that it is. However upon trying to install, I still get error 2147163964 saying that it failed to register.

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this issue? I'm perfectly able to install Vegas 15 on my PC that I owned before 13 was released...

Which Windows version installed and is it 64 bits?

Windows 10, 64 bit.

So I opened task manager to try and close the installer, turns out my CPU and Disk were both operating at 100% even on just the desktop.

Spoken to PC World and run a diagnostic, there's several faults with hardware including with the RAM, HDD and CPU (for some reason it also detected a fault with the USB drivers...)

Taking it for a replacement today - however speaking to their tech team it appears this may have been causing the error in installation - so if anyone else experiences a similar problem I'd suggest running a hardware test. Will update upon receiving the new laptop later as to whether this has solved the issue.

Enable TrustedInstaller in your Services.msc a.k.a "Windows Modules Installer"

Enabling Windows Modules Installer did nothing.
