Vegas Pro 15 - Preview freezes on frames

Hello there!

I've got a bit of a problem. My preview windows in Vegas keeps freezing. When I'm trying to find some frame and using left/right arrows and skipping video, at some point frames freezes. There are couple of dots showing up next to the frame counter and that's all, I can't see anything in preview windows because it freezes. I waited couple of minutes but nothing...

Here's how it looks. The frames stops, dots are showing up and I can't see anything in preview:

My computer is brand new, it's ASUS GL703GE laptop:

I never had this problem, video source is the same as any other I'm using (PlayStation 4).

Anybody had this problem?

Try first to disable the "Split Screen View" button above your previewscreen

The dots indicate your system is attempting to draw the frames, but apparently is unable to do it in real time. You could also take your preview down to auto instead of full quality.

My PC is very very good. I don't want to upgrade it.

- I need thumbnails

- My preview window is small

- I don't want to turn off "Scale Video to Fit Preview Window" because my preview window is small and if I turn off this function the preview window will be unusable.

- I can't work with zoom in on timeline.

It's like offer somebody to remove the car's seats to go faster because the car will be easier.

There must be a better solution.

 

Sometimes Vegas works good for 30-40 minutes sometimes it freezes after 10 minutes.

That's why I uses Ctrl+S more times than anything else.

just bought 17. happening to me NOW on 17, never happened on 15. why? SAME computer no changes, same drives. What the freak???

And the PREVIEW window is not having any problems playing back great at solid 24fps. I've rebooted I've cleared caches and settings, I've never encountered this on 15. money well spent.

Since Sony is not official Vegas owner their quality seriously went down. App is freezing, problem with frames in preview windows and there is constant problem with rendering after finishing a project. If you hit render straight away, app just renders 1 second and that's all. You have to restart whole app and then hit render. It's been like this at least from version 15. Dunno what happens but I seriously thinking about changing my video editing tool.
