Vegas Pro 18 Video Noise Reduction Tool

Hi guys,

I just want some clarification on something. I’ve noticed that in the VEGAS Pro 18 Highlights that it mentions only Vegas Pro 18 and Vegas Pro 18 Suite only having the - Video Noise Reduction Tool - and not in Vegas Pro Edit. However, upon looking at the Vegas Pro Product Comparison it clearly shows that it is included in Vegas Pro Edit as well. This has got me a tad confused. So, does Vegas Pro 18 Edit include the Video Noise Reduction Tool or not? I would love some clarification on this. I’ve taken some screenshots to show what it is that I am talking about. If this has already been addressed, please point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: I decided to purchase Vegas Pro 18 (the middle option) because of various reasons, including the fact that I couldn’t pass up the good audio editor which was only an extra AU$56. The savings were great because it only cost AU$26 more than when I bought Vegas Pro for the first time, Vegas Pro 15 Edit. But I now have the works, with SF Pro 14. So, I am pretty happy about my purchase. The colour grading panel is awesome. And having GPU acceleration on the timeline is fantastic. I look forward to editing many projects with Vegas Pro 18.

The stunning realisation that we actually DO have GPU acceleration and NV will make sure our PCs are getting the best performance from our PCs. I'm running that RTX3080, check what GPU you have.

Thanks! Interesting. I have an AMD R7 1700 and an RX 580 with 8GB. So 2GB less of vRAM than yours. So, it’ll be interesting to see how it performs. This system was an upgrade from an old HP system that was equipped with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 and an NVIDIA GT 430 w/ 1GB vRAM and 4-8GB of RAM (IIRC).

It would be nice to have little to no video noise in my videos. How long does it take to process a video (like a 10 minute video for example, any guesses?)?
Just hinting instead. 😉😜

You can make out more granularity in sample 1 compared to sample 2. I did a "light" touch to get a better look.

Hmm...looks like it did a pretty decent job. I’ll have to look on YouTube to see visual difference in videos with this software.

@Grazie | I found a good video on YouTube showing how Neat Video works and the magnificent results. It does a crazy good job at getting rid of noise whilst preserving detail. The video was created by Scrapyard Films.
