Vegas Pro 18 Video Won't Sync with Audio After Rendering

Belle wrote on 8/5/2022, 11:30 PM

For whatever reason, when trying render a video it doesn't sync with the audio, despite playing just fine in the program itself or if I render clips individually. I found a video of someone with the exact same problem as me and tried to use it as a resource ( but it's for Vegas 17 and understandably a bit outdated. I can only find help for people having this problem with 17 and 19, but not 18. Any tips?

Thank you all for the help, it's greatly appreciated. Especially from a newbie like me with nowhere else to turn.

Interesting... maybe because there is no such editor as Sony Vegas 17?

If you want help, read THIS, especially part B, C.

Make sure all your drivers are up to date.

Does it playback out-of-sync on all players (VLC, MPC, WMP, ect)? How far out? Is it a constant offset, or is it further out of sync towards the end?

  • Render it to Sony AVC/MVC.
  • Play the rendered file in your favorite player
  • Record the playing file with your screen capture program
  • Place the recording back on the Vegas Pro timeline and render to your delivery codec.
  • Report what your see.

It was just the one player and would get more out of sync as the video went on.

I don't know how or why, but just rendering to Sony AVC/MVC ended up doing the trick! Thank you!
