MediaInfo is more than capable of interrogating AVC media - I've had success for years with the long existing AVC media codec in MediaInfo. If MediaInfo is not displaying information about your AVC media, that more suggests that your AVC media is corrupt in some way.

Having now tried to open an AVC file in Vegas Pro 22, I also find that VP22 doesn't recognise AVC media and nor is AVC media able to be dragged from Windows Explorer onto the timeline. AVC opens and plays fine in VP21.
MediaInfo does open AVC media but it needs to be selected from MediaInfo's File menu. Here's one I prepared earlier:
