You would need to check with the creators of the Sam Kolder style transitions that you have to make sure that Vegas Pro 22 is a compatible host for those transitions. A basic Google search shows that Sam Kolder style transitions seem to be for Premiere Pro/After Effects.

Have your "unregistered" transitions worked in previous Vegas Pro versions? If yes, which version/s of Vegas Pro? And if the "unregistered" transitions are a different package to the Sam Kolder package, what is that other transition package (e.g. company name and package name)?

Thanks for the help. I used to like using Vegas Pro 19 and these transitions worked there:

Those are custom transitions for BorisFX's Sapphire. Do you have a current, licenced version of Sapphire installed? If not then the transitions won't work.

Well picked up @MikeS.

The video states:

I'm not sure whether or not this widens the 3rd party options to include Universe (now under the Maxon umbrella and who from 1 April this year have dropped Red Giant support for Vegas Pro in new releases) and WINRAR.

Yeeees Boris FX - I thought that in MV22 suite it is already... - I can do it now - thank you
I'm shooting with a new camera 10bit flat mode + then LUT but as I see rendering in MV22 you can only do 10bit in HDR or HLG - does that make sense then?

RogerS wrote on 6/26/2025, 9:15 AM

The important thing is for the flat to REC 709 conversion to be done at high precision- so in project settings 32-bit full with view transform off. If you're not rendering to HDR or planning to do further editing of the files an 8-bit file for viewing is adequate.

Thanks - I'll definitely try HDR too. There are 5 new film LUTs in MV22 - where can I find them please?

Vegas supplied Camera LUTs and Look LUTs are on tabs in the Color Grading Panel.
