Vegas Pro 23 doesn’t remember last render settings (unlike VP22)

Hi everyone,

Having upgraded from Vegas Pro 22 to Vegas Pro 23, I've noticed a change in behavior when rendering clips.

In VP22, if I rendered a clip from a project, then went to render another clip from the same project, Vegas would “remember” the last used render settings (format, codec, location, etc.). I didn’t have to re-select everything again.

In VP23, however, it always goes back to the default preset, and I need to reapply my choices each time. I know I can create templates (and I already use them), but sometimes for a specific project I need to adjust just a few parameters, and I don’t necessarily want to create a new preset for every little variation.

Is there a way to restore the old behavior from VP22, so that Vegas Pro 23 remembers the last render settings used within the same session? Or has this feature been removed completely?

Thanks in advance!

I cannot duplicate that behavior (Win10 PC). I even tried closing and restarting Vegas 23 and last used render preset is remembered.
I do not recall a setting for that but there may be one in the Internal menu. Otherwise, a 'reset' may resolve the issue.

@JamesDDawson I've noticed the same thing with vp23, but only if I tweak the render settings, and neglect to save them as a preset. If I do save them as a preset, or select a preset previously saved, Vegas remembers it for subsequent renders. Previous versions of Vegas put unsaved customizations at the top of the preset list with a star on it until Vegas was restarted or a different preset category was selected... I miss that.
