vegas pro19 (bulid 532) CANon 4K ALL-I clip?

yoo-changyun wrote on 3/17/2022, 12:55 AM

Unless you're shooting for a very long time, I use all-i over ipb for smooth editing. By the way, I'm testing this Vegas Pro 19 build532, and when I import the canon 4k all-i, the playback is choppy and choppy. And the black screen comes and goes again and again, but Vegas Pro Playback is very smooth at 18. Am I the only one having problems with Vegas Pro 19? Drivers such as graphics drivers are already up to date. I uploaded a test clip. Do you have a friend who can make sure you are playing well in your environment?

I got somewhat above 10fps by initial play, GoodFull-preview, no black screens, quite normal for me, because my GPU is not strong enough (I usually use the GoodQuarter-preview).

You'd leave all infos about your hardware in your SIGNATURE so that an overt compare can be seen/taken by everyone. It's good for you.

Thanks for the test, I made a video of my symptoms. Symptoms of Vegas Pro 19 and Vegas Pro 18 As you can see, Vegas Pro 19 doesn't play well and 18 is very good. What should I do to fix it?

Hi - FAILED: It would be impossible for me to edit, both VP18 and VP19. Black frames and stuttering FPS. Never seen anything like this. Tried taking GPU OFF, same issue. Just tested other 4k and that's working here. My MONSTA! is up to the job.

Are you both using the NVDEC NVIDIA decoding? If you turn off hardware decoding in file i/o does that help?

Seems like a similar situation as to here on Facebook (you can access it if you join the group).

Turning decoding on or off does not solve the problem, updating the driver does not solve it, and reinstalling does not help. ㅠㅠ

What more can we do here? However, Vegas Pro 18 was also working fine and I was stunned by unexpected issues with each update. If possible, I hope it works well in Vegas Pro 19, but the old version works well, but the new version does not.

Thanks Grazie, that's the same experience as the others on Facebook. Your NVIDIA will still do timeline acceleration/Fx if it's on with preferences/video. The specialized decoding function will be disabled. You can still use the encoding function (NVENC) with this disabled.

I'm download it now to test with an Intel decoder (is that what John Dennis has?) but 2GB is taking a while to download.

I'm not good at English, so I think I misinterpreted it. I thought it meant it was completely resolved, so I said congratulations. I'm sorry to disable the decoding function, but there was still a problem, so I reset it and reinstall it, but I still don't know what I missed.ㅠㅠ I asked the magicians for support yesterday, but there's no answer and I'm frustrated.

RogerS wrote on 3/17/2022, 3:32 AM

So after resetting and reinstalling it still doesn't work with the NVIDIA decoder disabled? I assume by magicians you mean Magix (or Vegas) support.

Here it works fine if I create a proxy file for it. I don't know why my Intel decoder won't read it.

But, oh wise one, there's an option for my Nvidia to be used, correct? Turning it OFF in that Menu is my Nvidia still being used? - Odd....

Confirmed, this is the solution. First play through is decoder on, 2nd decoder off. The problem was also in VP18 that I"m using, nothing changed with VP19 but poster says it worked in VP18, not in VP19. This doesn't appear to make any sense.

@yoo-changyun I would say your GPU decoder is still on, even though you say it's not. be that due to confusion or your Vegas install being corrupt. I saw your last post, but not able to ascertain if you were able to fix your problem or not.

When you use Vegas 18 can you open performance in task manager? Go to your GPU and see if there is any activity under video decode. My guess is there is not and Vegas is not trying to use hardware decoding for it but just defaulting to the software decoder.

In 19 there should be no activity under video decode when file i/o hardware decode is set to off. Can you confirm that?
