just upgraded my VP15 to VP20 pro edition. Got also VEGAS Steam. But it is not recording screen smoothly as it is done. Output screen recording is so laggy. I need a solution.
@iEmby, could you better explain what you mean? I've been using Stream for all of my tutorials and it's been working great recording both screen and camera at once. I have not been recording the "output" as I don't need that for the editing but I have done so in the past with no issues.
I guess I'm not following what's happening. Are you say the computer is running more slowly as Stream is recording? i.e. it's taking longer for those menus to appear on the screen? If you're talking the "controller" screen on the upper left, it doesn't update until you move the mouse out of the preview/camera area. It doesn't constantly update.
Ok, based on the second video you added after the above comments, I'm going to say it's more a resources issue on your machine. How do you have Stream setup? It can capture ISO's from multiple sources as well as the final output. That's the great thing about it versus a simple "screen capture" app. And it can stream the results direct to YouTube or Facebook as a live stream.
If you did a live stream with the display, a camera, and the final output all being captured, it's capturing up to 6 files and the log of camera switches which can then be used to import the ISO files as well as the final output back into VEGAS for later editing with everything placed in sync. Yes, it does take some resources to do all of that and it appears it may be slowing your system down some.
Looking at your profile, your processor definitely is fine. RAM is on the light side which may be causing the issue - especially if your system needs to use the swap file.
@iEmby Vegas Stream may be having difficulty capturing when your monitor is plugged into an Amd graphics card. On my machines with monitors plugged into Amd gpus, I do all the capturing with Amd ReLive or OBS. If I want to use Vegas for capturing, I plug my monitor into the motherboard hdmi port instead.
Its very weird problem then. I don't wanna keep plug in plug out for VEGAS stream. AMD Relive is good for me then. I think its waste of free software for me.

@iEmby, in the last video, it appeared Stream was working fine along with the AMD capture app. I noticed you're only capturing the live output and not the individual streams. I'm wondering if you'd be better off capturing the individual streams instead (although it should be the same). The bigger difference I'm seeing is I'm set to MPEG2 while you changed to H264. Here's my settings:
its working now. just two problems. 1. mouse curser is not visible 2. a slight difference in colours from original ones. Rest is all OK. Thanks.

I've asked for an option to turn on the mouse cursor many times but have not yet gotten that option.
Is the hard drive hitting hard when you get the laggy recordings?

At this point I would recommend you contact NewBlue support and see if they have any other suggestions.
