...Anyway, is it still not working or maybe I have it wrong in Preferences or perhaps it's been phased out?

I've not seen anything in it yet either, but I'm hoping they're about to phase it in. From the recent build 244 release notes:

"A "News Feed" function that communicates important information (e.g. update build announcements) now appears upon application start up whenever a new message is avaialble. This replaces the Net Notify system used in previous versions of the software"

...I see the whole v.14 as a TEST.

And I don't bother much. I'll tell you a secret. I bought v.14 not for actual use in commercial work but "to smooth" my transition from earlier Sony's to latter Magix's model line. "To smooth" it both in operational and economic planes.

I have my v.11 to work with. Apart from the fact v.14 satisfies me (weird "line art" toolbar buttons excluded). As I have no interest in "4K", "3D", "360", "GH5" and similar fancy-shmancy stuff.

From that point of view of mine, people who do urgently require stability&reliability should consider using v.13 / v.11 for "work" while keeping v.14 in mind for "experiments"...

I'm of a different opinion. If I look back at this comment I wrote in May last year, 12 of those 15 bugs have been fixed. That's pretty good going.

There is almost nothing left for me which worked better in VP13 or older versions, and plenty which works better. Most of the significant remaining new bugs I am aware of in VP14 are specific to the HEVC/ProRes codec.
