Many of the clips I put in Vegas become a flat green screen after I restart my Vegas. I saw a tutorial on YouTube where he changed a Folder name in FileIO Plugins, which worked to get rid of my clips bugging, but if I do so my Vegas keeps crashing. I tried reinstalling Vegas but it didn't seem to help.

Don't rename plugins. You can attempt the same thing by going to file io and checking or unchecking enable legacy AVC or HEVC depending on the file.
