If you lived in Dublin, I'd say its just "the luck of the Irish". In all honesty, I have no idea what's happening since it appears to be working OK on other user systems.
😄😄 I bet, you waste plenty more time to be on the trace of that AAV-plugin than you use it @Grazie.
@Yelandkeil - Oh yes indeed. The time is to find out, just if, there was an underlying issue with my rig. Ah, it’s the Road we travel…. the road we travel.
And if you use it!
@Yelandkeil - Never have. And now with all my other tools, I never will. And thanks your for your supportive input.
@EricLNZ - I went one better: Uninstalled the Current Build and reverted to the Previous Build, and the same issue.
@Grazie My understanding is that uninstalling then reinstalling doesn't clear the cache. Only a Factory Reset does that. So problems can get carried over.

@EricLNZ - Is that so? The same for VP13 too, where I’ve got the same issue? A Factory Reset there too? Very inconvenient. Maybe I’ll do a test with just VP13 and do a Factory Reset on just VP13 and ascertain if this corrects the issue.
@EricLNZ - Yes! I took your advice and used the NUCLEAR Option - Factory Reset.
OK, initially tested on VP13. Issue gone. Moved to VP20, and the issue is gone.
It's a real pity, I could use more colourful language, that I/we can't track this type of anomaly down without the need to do an FR, with all the waste of time bringing back a previously fully functioning and hard-won interface.
@Grazie Possibly someone with more technical knowledge could suggest which of your User AppData items possibly got corrupted. Then if it happens again just that item could be deleted leaving the rest of your customisations unaffected. Presumably Vegas would recreate the deleted one.
While I have no idea what is causing the problem, I do have a suggestion as to why it affects more than one version of Vegas Pro. Many 3rd party OFX get installed at C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX and so provides a common OFX target for many NLEs including any installed Vegas Pro versions. I have never installed AAV Color Lab so I cannot be sure that it installs to the Common Files/OFX folder. But just a thought.

It would not as it is a DirectX effect, not an OFX effect.
Clearing the cache is always a good idea when uninstalling/reinstalling effects. You don't have to go "nuclear" and do a full factory reset but it does help to clear the cache. To clear the cache without the full reset, you have to delete the plugin_manager_cache.bin and svfx_plugin_cache.bin files from:
