What Happened to the new version 356? Back to 302?

Joe-is-Hungry-Channel wrote on 12/19/2025, 8:23 AM

I did a clean install because of new issues with the new update and now all I see if 302 and 356 is no where to be seen? did they withdraw the update, or do I have early dementia setting in?

Hi Joseph, 356 had some major issues and was pulled. I'd go back to 302.

Yes, the new update was withdrawn. Please roll back to the previous 302 build.

No need to roll back for me. I was having problems with Vegas Pro 21 and 23, then I reinstalled Studio Driver 581.57 over 591.44. I also reset Vegas. Now Flicker Control and stuck cursor problems are fixed. I have a NVidia GeForce RX2060 Super.

Intel Core i7 10700K CPU @ 3.80GHz (to 4.65GHz), NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8GBytes. Memory 32 GBytes DDR4. Also Intel UHD Graphics 630. Mainboard: Dell Inc. PCI-Express 3.0 (8.0 GT/s) Comet Lake. Bench CPU Multi Thread: 5500.5 per CPU-Z.

Robert Johnston, it's funny how each computer system handles things. I, too, have an NVidia GeForce RX2060 Super graphics card, and I currently am using Studio Driver 591.44 without a problem in VP 23 Build 302. Yes, Build 356 was a disaster for most of us...

Joe-is-Hungry-Channel wrote on 12/19/2025, 2:54 PM

it worked okay just crashed a little more than 302 and they did not fix the known bugs that they acknowledged. I have a 4090 with current drivers. I would dropped back to 21 but I like the auto refreshing folders where the raw files live. I have been using vegas since version 14 v20 was probably the most stable

I do something similar myself. I do build-specific saves of my Vegas settings and window layouts before trying an update, mostly in case I need to uninstall to revert to an older build. In which case I use Revo to clean up after an uninstall. I also occasionally eyeball the saved settings file with a text editor... if it looks too full of crap, I re-implement the settings manually before re-saving them... helps to keep a record of preferred settings written down on a yellow pad.

Joe-is-Hungry-Channel wrote on 12/20/2025, 10:46 AM

I use the same third party app and mostly reset all my settings my hand. I get faster the more I do it, except for the default font upon opening, I always forget how to do it as it requires editing and xml file. this time i just saved the xml and just over right the new one form the new install. I wish they would break down and fix the missing active take information when the track is minimized that they broke in version 23. It is annoying. but we will see what happens with the next build although not holding my breath.
