I'm experiencing the same thing. I have a two monitor setup and it would not work with the preview screen on the second monitor. It sort of worked when I put Vegas on one monitor. It was very difficult to get it to make any changes. Finally gave up and used Photoshop.

Which build of Vegas Pro 14 do you use?

Got the same issue... are you using AMD card by any chance? i think that happened when i switched from nvidia to amd.

I currently have build 201 installed. My card is a Nvidia GTX 960.

John McCully wrote on 12/10/2016, 1:52 PM

What is the current build number? Can't seem to locate that information on the web site this morning.

201 is the latest available right now. I only follow it from News' section

Thanks Set, that's good to know. Back to the WB problem...

rcarlton wrote on 12/10/2016, 6:34 PM

I'm running version 201. Also have a Nvidia GTX 960.

rcarlton wrote on 1/1/2017, 4:10 PM

Still does not work in version 211.

John McCully wrote on 1/1/2017, 5:09 PM

Pardon my ignorance but do the Magix folks read these posts? Are they aware of this problem? Must we submit a formal request to Magix to have this fixed?

They do and so they can read that not everyone has this problem, like me.
No problem at all, build 211.
Better than complaining is to give information about the used hardware, than they can do something with your remarks.

John McCully wrote on 1/1/2017, 6:06 PM

I'm not complaining but seeking to understand how to proceed, that's all. What hardware should I mention here, other than my graphics card Nvidia GTX 960, already mentioned above. I'm running Windows 8.1 64 bit.

What else?

John McCully wrote on 1/1/2017, 6:19 PM

Build 211 installed and as with you, rcarlton, the problem continues. Let me repeat I'm not complaining :-) as I'm simply not really a complainer. Any and all 'friendly' advice and suggestions will be most gratefully welcomed.

John McCully wrote on 1/1/2017, 6:52 PM

OK folks who also have this problem I came across this entry somewhere on this web site.

'gary-rebholz wrote on 12/23/2016, 03:06 AM

Take heart, Cosmin_Gurau...we can't fix them all at once, but rest assured that this one is making it's way up the list.'

I shall assume this response might well apply to the White Balance problem. I shall wait patiently...

No problem here in VP14 build 211 with AMD HD 6970 (driver 15.201.1151.1008) with GPU either on or off, and with the preview on any of my 3 monitors. Windows 10 version 1511.

Pardon my ignorance but do the Magix folks read these posts? Are they aware of this problem? Must we submit a formal request to Magix to have this fixed?

This is primarily a user-to-user forum. The appropriate Magix staff may or may not read these posts. If you really want to get an issue seen by the right people you need to submit a support request via http://support.magix.com/vegas , including as much detailed information about the problem as you can.

John McCully wrote on 1/1/2017, 10:53 PM

Many thanks Nick, most helpful. I shall submit a support request as you suggested.

Interestingly I loaded Vegas Pro 14 on my laptop and no problem. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the Nvidia GTX 960 card, latest drivers, in my desktop. Makes no difference if GPU acceleration is on or off, by the way.

Cheers...

John McCully wrote on 1/2/2017, 4:31 PM

I have submitted a support request and shall report back here in due course. FYI in the meantime I did a clean reinstall of the Nvidia Geforce 960 card and reinstalled Vegas Pro 14 build 211, all to no avail.

NickHope wrote on 1/3/2017, 3:09 AM

A shot in the dark would be to try installing .NET Framework 4.6.2, which has been known to fix some display weirdness.

Also you might try rolling back graphics card drivers. See this post.

John McCully wrote on 1/3/2017, 9:20 PM

Many thanks once again, Nick, I did install .NET Framework 4.6.2.  The problem persists.  I read the post you linked and while most of the language was way over my head I did get the impression that the new owners of this software, Magix, have work to do.  Perhaps Sony let things slip before getting out of the business.  I'm not about to roll back my GPU drivers in fact I'm not about to waste any more time on this.  I still have Vegas Pro 13 installed and the White Balance works in that version.

Cheers.
