Why is my audio shorter than my video in Vegas Pro 15

ingeborgdot wrote on 10/28/2017, 12:50 PM

I have had used my trusted Vegas Pro 13 for a while now and decided to take the plunge to 15. My first project I was excited to work with it but only found problems after my first try. I brought in my first video that I have been using on VP 13 for several years now only to find out that it somehow it changed the video and audio portion to the point that the audio was 70 seconds shorter than the video. I have included a picture to show what I am talking about. What can I do about this? Why is this happening? It doesn't happen in Vegas Pro13.

If your source is AVC, this might help. If not...

  • How your source media was generated (i.e. what camera or program) and what format/codec was used (if you know)?
  • Post the MediaInfo text report of your source media.
  • Post the VEGAS Files Propertes of your source media (the MediaInfo guide linked above shows you how).
  • If the media is not too large you could post a link to a sample of it, for example on Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, mega.nz, wetransfer.com or mediafire.com.

What I'm working with is a copy of a live stream we do. It is done through a company called NFHS Network. We video through our camera into a Startech HD capture device. It goes into our laptop and then into their software called Playon Sports Producer. I'm not sure if there are some settings changes that can be applied but I have sent an email to their support team today.

I guess I just don't understand why it works for Vegas Pro 13 and not 15.
