RE: Change CPU ? (Intel I5-9700K -> I5-13400F)
Disabling the IGPU is a bad idea as it's best for decoding media in VEGAS. I have no choice, the iGPU is deactivated when I put a graphics card, it's like that in all PCs. The motherboard handles this. @Former user Your configuration is superior

RE: VP20 Hanging on each use (never when rendering)
Looking at Mediainfo for the 3 I think the iPhone is likely to be the most problematic though there have been issues with GoPro in the past. I have some Hero Black 9 footage here but haven't worked with it enough to say how well it works.

RE: Encoder glitches / digital artifacts on clips transitions
Most likely it's the media x GPU and there's something about the media (GoPro?) it doesn't like when it hits transitions. You can also test if it's the old dynamic ram preview x GPU issue which can be worked around by setting it to 0 before renders

RE: [Solved] Western Digital Black Edition Performance Drive good enough for 1080p?
Western Digital Black are excellent hard drives and should be fine for hosting video assets for editing. All my media for Vegas has been on them for years, in a very wide variety of resolutions and formats. I do have 2 x 4TB drives in an Intel IRST

RE: Handling a Certain Filming Situation
When running and gunning with the WB locked, you could have a grey card hanging round your neck and flash that in front the camera at the beginning of each shot, just to make adjustment easier in post. (for when it's not one continual shot through

+1 @Steve_Rhoden I also have the Canon R7, along with the Canon R6. I shoot both using CLOG-3, HEVC, 4K Fine (UHD) 29.970. You can see my computer specs in signature. I prefer to use Shutter Encoder and transcode the files to Apple ProRes 422, as

RE: Media text shifted ?
I may have found the solution. The videos are from a GoPro Hero 10.It's set to 4K60, so it looks like it's true slow motion (x 2 indicated by the GoPro). This must be the reason for the lag.

I couldn't do anything with Vegas (v21,208) yesterday trying to edit GoPro 8x7 format (5312x4648) at 60FPS. It was freezing on loading, rendering proxies, and during editing. However, today when I just loaded a few of the same videos, I had no

RE: Vegas Pro and GoPro 11 formats (Vegas 20)
After reading through the GoPro licensing agreement, it appears uploading RAW GP footage is okay. Here's a zip file link that contains ~1.GB of footage shot at 8x7 format (3840/3360) - 4K 60fps from a GoPro 11. Note: Clicking the link will

RE: Correct workflow to use video proxy generated by ffmpeg
Native Vegas proxy creation is just painfully slow, especially for hevc formats. Here's an old comparison I did a number of years back comparing HOS KwikProxy with Vegas. Even MPEG-2 creation was faster. It's faster for 2 reasons. First, you can

RE: Vegas 16 keeps crashing
Maybe VP16 not keen on GOPRO H265 files. 1) try using proxy files. 2)Download 'Shutter Encoder' free and re-code your 4K 265 files to say ProRes or H264 which should be easier for vegas to handle. A little bit of trial & error. Shutter encoder
