RE: What export format to lose as little quality as possible on Youtube ?
You can try AV1 and VP9 of Voukoder rendering plugin. https://github.com/Vouk/voukoder/releases https://github.com/Vouk/voukoder-connectors/tree/master/

Your sample project stable on my laptop VP18. You seem concerned with hacking. What AV are you using. Maybe exclude Vegas Pro 18.0 and your media folder from AV as a test measure. Bizarre: Mainpc (Sys1) render fails at 17%. Your timeline but with

RE: Batch Create Subclip from all events on Timeline (using eventnames)
If you create the regions on the timeline (instead of the trimmer), you can use the "Extract Good Clips" tool in Excalibur to pull each region into a subclip, name the subclip the name of the region, and all subclips will be moved to a new track. So

RE: HEVC 10-Bit 422 and 420: Howsit Going, Magix [VP19 update below]?
For the time being, one can always use the ImportAssist tool in HappyOtterScripts to transcode the file into something that Vegas can import. Here's a demo of a conversion to ProRes422HQ. You can downloaded the transcoded file at

RE: HEVC 10-Bit 422 and 420: Howsit Going, Magix [VP19 update below]?
@AVsupport @fr0sty Thank you.I was able to confirm that the HEVC 4:2:2 file does not open or play with a system that has an Intel iGPU decoder either. It didn't work normally or when legacy HEVC was checked. It didn't work with hardware decoding

    RE: NVIDIA RTX3070
@Grazie Might be a while before it's widely supported but the Nvidia 30xx series has a new 5th gen chip on it that can do VP10/AV1 decoding in hardware and might be faster all around. If it was me, I'd definitely hold out for a 3080 and maybe grab

    RE: NVIDIA RTX3070
@Grazie “Of yeah, my Builder is needing to like-for-like, so warranting an investment on my side shouldn’t be an issue” OTOH, you could look at this as an opportunity to get a Monsta gpu, maybe pay the difference? A high end GPU may well outlast

Hi @BruceUSA, the 100p clip AVS_20201108_0055_XAVC10Bit4K100p422.MP4 is not HEVC, it is actually XAVC-S. Apart from playback performance, that one shouldn't be an issue. Just thrown it in for good measure ;-) How did you go with the rest? HEVC is

    URGENT! HEVC 10-Bit 4:2:0 crashing VP18-373.2
I noticed Now filtering out unsupported 4:2:2 10 bit HEVC that are decoded with the Intel HEVC decoder files which may cause a crash or result in artifacts being displayed in Update 2 changelog. Trying to look at a 10-Bit HEVC 4:2:0 file from Sony

    RE: 5.1 surround sound
The old Sony AVC did 5.1 aac surround but only up to HD. The Magix AVC does 4K but only stereo. Same for Magix Intermediate's prores-like output. You might want to double check with your client and see if they'll take the 5.1 in a separate file.

RE: [Closed] NVidia RTX 2080 vs. 3080, what can I expect to improve?
As for as NVENC and NVDEC go, I'm not sure if those chips got an upgrade from the RTX 20 series or if they're the same ones, so there may not be much improvement with encoding and decoding of video.. They'd be talking about it if the card got HEVC

RE: Youtubers | VP09 | Upscaling to 1440p | Worth it or not?
If encoded at 1080P it looks like the most common playback format on a computer is AV1 now, h.264 being a fallback for both vp9 and AV1 if device is not powerful enough to play it, or devices without AV1/VP9 hardware decode that run on battery. Many

Try Windows Control Panel -> Backup and Restore (Windows 7).. A leftover from W7 but works well. Agree with Dexcon only 1 AV should be used. Alternatives to Win Defender are supposed to disable defender, some do not.

@VEGASHeman here is a video that seems to make the So4 Compound Plugin go bonkers with memory when I try to play it in Vegas Pro 17 (b452). I don't even need to loop it, the memory shoots up on the first play after I have placed it on the timeline.
