    RE: [Closed] VEGAS 16 hint
@Trensharo Can you try, JUST ONCE, to make a positive contribution to the forum instead of a negative, combative one? @Dexcon Thanks for posting that. "Storyboarding" would potentially be a big help for me - very interesting. 1. Nothing I said

RE: Vegas Pro 15 and GTX 1080Ti performance drop??
I have a 1080 card and I use Vegas without GPU acceleration. It's faster, but still slow (with Blackmagic ProRes and 32bit project settings)

    RE: [Closed] VEGAS 16 hint
I bought a BlackMagic Mini Monitor 4K, and I use that to connect to my LG 50'' OLED TV (2017 series, fantastic displays!). The card can pass through HDR signals to the TV, and (at least with Resolve) when I connect to the TV, the HDR logo appears on

RE: How do I add a image or gif to a moving green screen?
To replace a green screen with another image, you would use chroma-keying, and Vegas Pro has a chroma-keyer in Video FX. There are a lot of tutorials on YouTube about chroma-keying in Vegas Pro - just go to YouTube and search 'chroma key Vegas Pro'

    RE: Not recognizing SMPTE/EBU timecode
Well, Marco . . . Today my Tentacles have arrived. I promptly hooked one up as an audio input (using an XLR adapter that I bought with the Tentacles) to my Blackmagic Design Video Assist 4k and just recorded the video out of the HDMI output of my

    HDR Workflow Guide
So, I've successfully managed to make a HDR video that actually triggers my TV into HDR mode. While I did not use Vegas to do it (it was a timelapse), it is quite possible (I think, at least, more on that below.) to use Vegas as the starting point

    RE: Blackmagic Mini Monitor 4K (PCI-E 4x) & 10 Bit over HDMI
I tried it out... over display port, I couldn't even get 4K after the patch (that said, I was adapting DP back to HDMI, and it is very possible the DP adapter was not HDMI 2.0). I tried it over HDMI. Nvidia's control panel will now allow me to

    RE: Blackmagic Mini Monitor 4K (PCI-E 4x) & 10 Bit over HDMI
To answer my question, yes, Blackmagic devices (at least claim to) support 10 bit over HDMI through Vegas. No, the card I mentioned above does not work AT ALL with Vegas, despite being advertised to. It sees my Blackmagic Decklink Studio 4K (which

    Blackmagic Mini Monitor 4K (PCI-E 4x) & 10 Bit over HDMI
Just bought one of these for Resolve, and was wondering if anyone knows if Vegas is capable of outputting 10 bit video over this device? The device itself has a HDMI 2.0a port and is capable of both 10 bit and HDR metadata, so I'm hoping it'll work

RE: VEGAS Pro 15 Update 5 (build 361) - General Discussion
So, this kind of instability is common?... I maybe shouldn't have said "common". I know it has been seen on multiple dual GPU machines (Intel integrated graphics + either NVIDIA or AMD GPU). ...Do you get to hear those from the developers? No. I

    RE: Why does it jolt?
Personally, I do not use software to record my video screen. I just hook up a video recorder (which at this time is a Blackmagic Video Assist 4k, though I used other devices long before BVA came to exist) to the HDMI output of my computer and use

RE: computer RGB now looks better on Youtube...
Anyone care to share their reference monitor / output card setup? I used to have a Blackmagic Intensity for this, but it was HD only and I edit mostly 4k/UHD now. Blackmagic has a cheap Decklink 4k mini monitor card (~$150). May be an option for the

    RE: Davinci resolve 14
Blackmagic is an impressive company. I don't think I ever crashed Resolve. I don't like the GuI on the main edit/timeline page, but YMMV. Doesn't run my older Mackie Control either, only MCU, (if you don't know, don't worry about it)It's very good

@Vliegvisser , I didn't understand that post either...... I can understand those having issues with those codecs and those that use AMD cards (I am one of them). I don't know the finances behind BlackMagic nor Magix/Vegas, but i would wager BM has

I understand you better than you can imagine. But keep in mind that all software has problems, so there are updates. I could list several that exist in Premiere and Resolve, but that's not the point. I like vegas for simplicity and objectivity in

    RE: Davinci resolve 14
Blackmagic seems to be good at making innovative and solid software. 100% GPU load, CPU breaking a sweat too... Meanwhile Vegas has like 30-50% GPU load, CPU might max out depending on codec used. It would be interesting to do some side by side

RE: GH5 and Davicci resolve 12.5?
Davincci Resolve 14 is insane on my high end system, AMD 1950X @4ghz. I import some sample native GH5 10 bit 400mbps footage on a 10 bit project setting in Resolve and start all kinds crazy FX on it. I also can scrub the time line no problem, lock

Cliff, If you're planning on getting the new Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k it comes with the Studio (paid) version of Resolve. The way secondary preview works in Resolve is different. They don't allow it completely on the second monitor like in

RE: Cineform vs XVAC intermediates in Vegas Pro
I can't tell how much worth an upgrade to VP14 could be. More stable than VP12 or VP13? I'd say no, while on my system, there neither is a stability problem with VP14 or VP15. But for sure this differs from system to system. See the list of

I also have a problem with my footage from Blackmagic ProRes. Very slow preview. I thought the VP15 would be fine, but it's not. I upgraded 4x and hoped the bugs would be fixed and GPU support fine.If the VP15 will not be fixed, I will have to

I have one of these cards and the DV capture program in Vegas will see and capture from the card with the card set to down-convert to SD. Unfortunately, the captured video ended up being 88 Gig when I was expecting more like 14 Gig. The capture file
