RE: Color grading in Vegas
So essentially I just captured a short 5 second video. All I want to do is practice color grading that one video. But I want to make sure all of my settings are correct. It seems like Vegas has to be told how to interpret the footage in order to

RE: Blue clips taken on Boeing Dreamliner
The window itself has essentially a tinted electronic neutral density filter built into it. Correcting WB at the time of shooting is the best option (though not sure how well this can be done). I'd start with the hue and temperature sliders in the

RE: Vegas Pro 22 - LUT Filter + Color curves not working
The color grading panel has a section for curves. If you don't need animation, just use that. Select the event, then engage the color grading panel by typing the Alt+G combo. The CG panel pops up. The section on the right has tabs. Use the one

VP Various Recent Builds & NVIDIA RTX 3050 Ti Cards
Is anyone have success editing 10-bit HEVC with NVIDIA notebook cards? The last couple builds/versions of Vegas have just been terrible for me. Things have progressed from manageable-but-frequent app crashes to total OS crashes that require a hard

RE: need help understanding / managing banding in 10 bit.
Than you for clarifying. Did you compare it to the built-in conversion LUT in the color grading panel? Also when you go to render in 32-bit full mode make sure the view transform is set to off in project settings or it will be double corrected. I

RE: iPhone videos' colours change after importing into Vegas pro 22
@Furqan Edit time is limited, so forgot to add to my previous post … “With Media properties Color space set to Rec. 2020 ST2084 (1000 nits)” Is auto detected. I haven’t checked but Mark-Y may already also have an iPhone lut.

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
Listening to all these negative fears and that Vegas is on its last is unbelievable..... I have no fear whatsoever where Vegas is concerned. The developers are always working extremely hard, and currently its no different. Dear @Steve_Rhoden, I know

RE: Missing bt709 tags rendering "limited" from 32 bit full
@Mindmatter Your most rececent settings screen shot shows the project set to 32bit video levels which is not consistent with YouTube processing or Aces. If you change the project from full to limited, I'd expect it to look different and need

RE: Vegas color grading vs other tools
@Steve_Rhoden that might be so, but I still would like the option of working with sliders. I also know that there are more options in vegas then the wheels, I still get much faster results with the "antiquated" type interface. Three sliders, hue,

Vegas color grading vs other tools
Hi all, just wondering why the Vegas color grading is generally, to my eyes at least, somewhat not as intuitive as it could be. At the risk of sounding somewhat peculiar, I never liked color wheels. Whenever I work with Lightroom's sliders, or tools

RE: V-Log Footage
There are a few different workflows. You could try ACES by switching the project to 32-bit full with view transform set to sRGB. Then set the color space (right click on the media and go to properties) to Vlog/vgamut. Alternatively you can use a

@Kimberly-Durecki You can also achieve good results with VEGAS' native Color Corrector (Secondary). Just be careful when setting the parameters not to select unwanted elements in the scene.

(Studio RGB must be unchecked in scopes, though the histogram scope isn't affected by this). StudioRGB will be checked when your editing (preview window) located on a TV-display, and uncheched if it's a computer display. The Histogram presents
