RE: Vegas Pro....How many crashes a day is too many? Am I done with Vegas?
I don't think it's necessarily the footage. I think it's the combination of effects, transitions, titles and animated images. I don't have super extensive EFX but I do have multiple layers of some effects and layers of titles. I just think Vegas

RE: How to zoom multiple clips on a video track
Wow, thank you. I found Track Motion - it's right there in the hamburger three line menu on the track! I guess I can put keyframes in across all the clips on the timeline and use those to mark the zooms start and end points I want.

Will you accidentally roll the wheel when pressing mouse wheel?
I always think it is a strange decision to assign the task of panning preview to the middle mouse button. Panning the preview window has become a very common operation for users when making masks or motion tracking. Whenever I press the middle mouse

    RE: Reduce grain
I know you want a better native denoise plugin included with Vegas. One good way to go about this is to start a new thread, sans editorial, with "Feature Request" in the title. The dev team is understaffed, overworked, but still responsive. In the

RE: Vegas from Sony to now
and yes, the quality of these tutorials is lacking, and often full of misinformation (like "record your gameplay video at 200fps! It'll make it look smoother when you render it out of VEGAS at 60fps!"), but there isn't much that can be done about

RE: video ghosting / framing problem with Sony FX3
That's an extremely shaking footage... agree as @3POINT mentioned, shot with higher shutter speed if you intend to post-stabilize it. I had similar issue when dealing with Insta360 One X2 footage with gyro-stabilize capability in Insta360 Studio

RE: VEGAS Pro Update 3 - new feature tutorials, benchmark comparisons
Here's the final result. The first 5 frames are messed up, and there's a little bit of video to the right of her that didn't get properly masked out, I could easily clean that up by refining the smart mask or just masking those areas to her right

Vegas Pro stopped working after installing update. It goes through the motions but the window never opens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling same results. VERY URGENT: Same problem here. I can't edit anything any more now. Restarting the

RE: Frame rate change to digitized 8mm film
On YouTube, there are many YT channels that have taken hand-cranked film footage from the very late 1800s and early 1900s and have transformed that footage into 60 fps with stabillisation, colorisation etc - like this one - Maybe add a comment on a

So when do we get Bézier curves for track motion?
So now in v20 there’s transition Bézier curves, and of course the existing motion tracking… but still no actual event/track/parent motion Bézier tools??? Ain’t upgrading until that exists!

Render does not respect the preview of the video - Track Motion(v18.0)
I've been doing a meme reel for my page on Instagram and to do that, I had to used two different photos and one video. To drag them correctly, I had to use "Track Motion". When I've finished the video, I've render it and saw that it wasn't as I did

    Slow Motion Plugin Missing/Not there
I recently upgraded from Vegas Pro 16 edit to Vegas Pro 20 and the "Slow Motion" Plugin is just not there, at all. Has this happened to anyone else? Possible helpful screen grabs (Windows 10 Pro 64-bit OS) Vegas Support really hasn't been helpful.

RE: Why don't slo-mo methods look as good as the Video Preview window?
Why doesn't any slo-mo method in Vegas Pro 19 look as good as the Video Preview does when I simply change the Normal Rate playback speed to less than 1.0? Even when I change the playback speed to as low as 0.20 (20%) the slo-mo in the Video Preview

RE: A simple solid frame around a smaller-than-full-frame image
Teaser You can do the whole thing with Pan/Crop and the Border fX if you don't mind getting down and dirty with nesting and a little arithmetic. /Teaser Then use 3D Track Motion for other stuff...

RE: How to zoom multiple clips on a video track
With VEGAS Pro, I'd say Track Motion. But I don't think Movie Studio had that. Next thought was project nesting but I'm not sure Movie Studio has that either. What if you render it out so it's all a single file and then use Pan/Crop on it?

Wiew, don't forget that Mocha (the full version, not just the limited version included with Hitfilm) is available as a plugin for VEGAS, though VEGAS' motion tracking can handle most stuff on its own.

RE: How can I list ALL the codecs installed on my platform?
Blackmagic MJPEG codec is an older, proprietary codec. It may be installed as a hardware capture codec on your card. Vegas uses your system software codecs. And only some of them that meet strict licensure requirements. Nonpartnered Proprietary

RE: Fix tripod video that got moved very slightly up and down
Trying video stabilization, after running the stabilizing survey, chose the "freeze motion" mode in stabilization options? Also in "expert mode" you can try choosing a grid that covers an area with the least program motion around the stage.

RE: Changing and Converting Videos Of 60 FPS Down To A Lower FPS
Even with the advantage of Optical flow resampling, your best bet is still 60->30p because of the common factor, (which is 30). And that gives you the added advantage of an easy path to perfect slow motion, should you wish to use it in spots.

RE: [Closed] VEGAS Pro 21 Build 108 General Discussion
If you want me to test a particular file I'd be happy to- have similar a7sIII files but they may not be exactly the same. For performance I'd stick with 8-bit full mode for playback. Make sure project resolution matches the main media you are using.

RE: How to prevent auto-resize? What's the point of "disable resample"?
There are two traditional methods of doing this in Vegas that work in all versions. These two examples use a Project Size of 1920x1080, and a Media Size of 648x648. The simplest method uses Event Pan/Crop If you have multiple events, you can use
