RE: [Closed] Magix, will there be an upgrade offer?
Interesting... so this is an offer for anyone regardless of whether you own a prior version of Vegas or not? No special pricing for those of us who have been here since version 3? Suddenly I feel no more loyalty to this program. I was about to

RE: Will Magix be able to advise on recommened hardware
Yes, and isn't it a testament to Apple engineering that a 6 year old 12-Core Mac Pro still has more than enough power to get the job done Not really. My 2600K with the GTX570 from that time would not be far behind my current 3930K and I would have

RE: Multicam
I would definitely start again as a new file - you can keep the current one as a back up. Put the camera with the audio you want to use most on the top track. Your Tascam audio etc should be on the very bottom. PE is VERY easy to use to

Take a look at what I have now, can I multicam this? I might start over once I get the skaters a DVD, I am about 6 weeks over due, starting over could add another 2 to 3 weeks to the project. I *would* like to start over and find out how to edit

I know it's a pain but I would start over again, getting what you have to work will take longer. Make sure you are creating a video only multicam track.

" I dont understand why you seperated the audio from the video." - Neither do I have been starting over on this project more than once a week for the past 10 weeks, I really try not to make more problems. I must have hit some key or accidently.

Rob-h, The workflow that I use when working w/ multicam video and audio is: 1. edit the audio first and create a master audio track 2. line up the videos to this master audio track 3. edit the multi-cam video as others have described above. I've

in FCPX, you may be able to reopen the 'merged' multicam takes, and then resync. However, in Vegas Pro, It's not quite easy to get back and forth. Also, for Ripple task, there are 3 behaviors of Ripple task, 'Affecting that single track only',

Once you complete the multicamera edit, go back to tool, multicamera, and click on expand to multiple tracks and click no for unused takes. Now you can finalize color correcting, FX etc. for each track and VIOLA!! done. You can color correct and

The way to work with multicam audio is to save all synced raw audio tracks to new ones BEFORE entering multicam edit mode. That way you can cherry-pick the audio tracks and change your mind at will to arrive at a smooth master. Working with the

I have a show that I shot with 3 cameras. I brought in each camera as separate track on the timeline. I also created a timeline for CD aduio as each girl had a CD track of the music she performed to. Each song was sync'd with the girl performance

RE: ot: shooting advice please...
I've done quite a few live gigs including bands, plays and conferences. Always multicam. All the above is good advice but if you can possibly get a 2nd or 3rd camera going it makes the editing SOOOO much easier and the final result will be much

RE: Movie Studio losing ground to competition.
@vkmast +1 Names don't matter. Features and function do. From the email, we already know that they'll be adding some new FX, multicam editing and travel route animation. Personally, I'd love to see improve use of GPU during editing, rendering

Sony HDR-cx900.. Changed my life forever. I'm now rocking 4x cx900's and 3x cx330's. I'm about to invest in a crane and jib for one of the cx900's. If I added 4 or 6 (GoPros), my multicam shoots would take on a new level to say the least. You should

RE: How to move video freely not frame-by-frame
The maximum possible error for unsynced cameras is +/- 1/2 frame relative to reference, and that can't be improved upon, nor is it evident to viewers. To be clear, QTF and snapping should be turned On before adding any media. Those controls offer no

Their Pro Video Editor is quite well featured, but lacks Application Scripting - one of the Vegas treasures. Also Multicam limited to 9 tracks, but it does include a Camtasia-like screen recorder.

It seems evident that a v14 is coming with all the recent posts of it being released and then held off by dealers. I have been a Vegas Pro user since 2004 when it was Sonic Foundry and I must say its the best and most intuitive NLE, fare more
