  I mentioned what the advantage to AV1 is, higher quality at lower bitrates, nothing competes with AV1. Also in regards to the Nvidia screen recoder it doesn't do HEVC other than for 4K/8K, so options are AV1 or AVC for most people. @Todd-AO

  @stevefoobar2 I should also mention that screen capture resolution will be limited by that of your monitor... it can really be quite good capturing off a 4k monitor if Vegas can preview your project smoothly at best-full.
