  I mentioned what the advantage to AV1 is, higher quality at lower bitrates, nothing competes with AV1. Also in regards to the Nvidia screen recoder it doesn't do HEVC other than for 4K/8K, so options are AV1 or AVC for most people. @Todd-AO
