A truly incredible review by Rob Svm on the FB Vegas Editors group.
I will always stay with Vegas. I was editing a weekly TV show with it for 5 years and was doing it in 4k when the other producers only rendered in 2k. I bought every Vegas pro version (since v6) because it is the most logical workflow that stacks up

RE: Timecode - How to sync audio only tracks? How to limit total tracks?
If you do a multicam editing, you should have one video track for every camera. And one audio track for the audio recorded with the camera. Additional audio tracks for audio-recorder can be, too. But 50 tracks is not, how that works. I do not see

RE: Synchronize Audio to Align Events doesn't work right and takes 4EVERRR
Here is what one developer requests for helping improve this tool in one of the many threads about it. A power user contacted us and provided us with a large library of multicam projects, some of which worked but some of which did NOT. This helped

RE: Post Your VEGAS Creations - 2
@PeterH really nice! Questions coming.... 1. What mics used on the drums? Oh, and his ending was great! 2. What did you use to mix everything? 3. What mixing equipment did you use? 4. Cameras? How long did it take you to edit things?

RE: scubbing & playback
In task manager look at CUDA as well. VEGAS uses 3D, decode, encode, CUDA and compute (for NVIDIA).While decoding: While encoding: Legacy AVC makes the CPU do the decoding (which can be fast when the media is easy to decode). Yes I edited music

RE: Intel's new B580 Battlemage GPU
@Richvideo I don't have a 2080 but do have a 1660ti which has the same decoding silicon. When testing an Intel a380 and a770, decoding performance was about the same as the 1660ti. While for general usage, the a770 was by far the smoothest of all

RE: Multicam Workflow Question
No, I wanted to resize the event for the purpose of trimming it, i.e. editing. And I'm saying the only way that works is if I group all of the events following the split, every time I need to make an edit. I gave a good description that works, so

RE: What is the best AMD driver at the moment for VP20 ?
I just tried 23.Q3 myself and it installs fine and looks better than 23.7.2 when I do multicam on my win11 6900xt machine. 23.Q3 is not listed as recommended or supported by Amd for any of my gpus, but it cured a blinking of the preview screen in

RE: VRAM Bottleneck in Vegas Pro 22 – Considering GPU Upgrade to RX 7900 X
If you're doing ongoing render speed comparisons with Resolve you have to keep in mind Resolve uses both your 4090 encoders while Vegas and Voukoder currently only use the 1. You'd have to force single encoder via your choice of encode or resolution

Multicam editing messed up everything after what I was working on.
Vegas Pro 20.0 Build 411 Multicam issues. I have placed in all the video and audio tracks of all the takes, this is spread out over several hours of time. My workflow of the past is I look at what is here, clip out what I want and assemble the clips

RE: Give Me A Few Reasons Why Vegas Pro Is A Good Software
1) It is intuitive - you just drag and drop everything in one window - no need to walk through extra modules like in Resolve 2) It is fastest editing - no other software give you opportunity to edit 2 hours multicam podcast with full of underlying

RE: Vegas Pro 22 AI Fx SUPER slow to render
@Sean-Lester AI Upscales over 1.1x seem to always be increasingly gpu intensive as the scale goes up. Doing that to an fhd clip as an Event FX in a 4k project is a 2x upscale, even without any cropping. Only way I know to speed it up there is to use

All My cuts are not on frame boundaries, is there a way to fix them
I have been editing a multicam video, all the cameras shot in 23.98 and project in 23.98. I was going through the final touches and realized that one of my cuts was not on a frame boundary. I turned on the option to show where they are not on frame

RE: Vegas Pro 21 Crashes
The main way to avoid software crashes is to give VEGAS media that's easy to edit. Constant framerate AVC from cameras is usually fine and works well with VEGAS's GPU decoding on modern GPUs. ProRes also works great assuming a CPU and hard drive

Making a little progress: Import broadcast wave file and selecting arrange across timeline and use ruler time actually places the bwf files at correct place on timeline. Adding the R3d video files to another track, selecting them and then syncing

RE: best graphics card options for playback
This is an old thread from 2020. Subsequent posts indicate OP ended up getting an Amd 6900xt with an Arc a770 for decoding. I have that same combination myself. When display performance is my paramount consideration, I get the smoothest most glassy

RE: [Solved] Vegas Pro 18 crash after crash
Since you have MediaInfo and know how to use, it I'd convert all the Canon All-I clips with Handbrake and then edit normally with file i/o back to defaults. Alternatively you can do the non-legacy AVC decoding with NVIDIA set to off if you don't

RE: [Solved] Vegas 17 Platinum - multi camera editing... HELP please!
It looks like you are selecting multiple events, not tracks. Hold Ctrl while clicking each track header. Also, it's a good idea to Render copies to New Tracks before creating the Multicam Track. You'll be glad you did.
