RE: a few thoughts about Vegas multicam editing
A multicam track isn't needed to display a preview of what is happening on the tracks on the timeline... just enable multicam mode and you get your split screen MC view, the tracks remain the same. When you make a cut to, say, camera 2, it splits

RE: What is the best graphics card for vegas 21 ?
Don't say you bought a PC without a graphics card?! RadeonR9200 is quite ok. Unfortunately, it probably causes the Vegas to freeze. I wrote a post to find out what will speed up the render and preview in 4K 50frame as much as possible. From what I

RE: VEGAS Pro 20 Build 326 General Thread
Hi. I noticed that in the last version of Vegas Pro 20 (build 326) something is wrong in multicam, when I want to switch track pressing Ctrl to generate an overlap at the split point: switching from Track1 to Track2 works fine, but when I want

    Bogus Review in PC Magazine
https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/vegas-pro I found this review in PC Magazine absolutely bogus. The author cites more cons than pros with Vegas, and many of his criticisms seem unfair and have more to do with him as an editor than legit criticisms

    RE: Editing a multi-camera sequence
@Jonathan-Burnett Maybe the Vegas how-to doesn't make it clear but you 1st have to select the left-side headers of the video tracks to be able to create the combination multicam track. Then you can go into multicam mode to do the cuts while it

    RE: Edit media in trimmer?
Yes, effex have to added after the multicam edit, or as an effect in the media pool. In your case you might want to correct the problem camera and render to a lossless codec then use that as your edit source.

RE: Vegas 20 question saving edits in tracks.
I wouldn't use a multicam project for that. You can place one media as events on four tracks and edit without having to "render" it.

RE: Speculating on the Next VEGAS Pro Version - What are Your Expectations
I don't feel the UI is outdated or not sleek enough, there is nothing in the UI that ever got in my way. Having said that, I've been repeatedly bringing up the bad visibility of muted events, and why they are not just clearly greyed out entirely. so

    RE: Editing a multi-camera sequence
@Jonathan-Burnett You have to Enable Multicam Edit before you select the tracks.

@dxdy Thought your description of that old thread sounded familiar: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/voukoder-render-has-pixleated-frames-around-some-event-transitions--129720/#ca806494 It's never been fixed in Vegas, far as I know. I

RE: Correct workflow to use video proxy generated by ffmpeg
Since frame boundaries can be of critical importance in the multicam work I do, I distrust using a 24p proxy when my footage is always 30p or 60p. I prefer to make proxies that are an even division of the footage frame-rate... 1/2 ntsc works quite

RE: View Multicam AND final preview at the same time?
It is not possible to do this in VEGAS. The only way to get this view in VEGAS is with two monitors. On the first monitor is the multicam view and on the second monitor is the final view. I've always wanted that option, but honestly I'm not holding

RE: What is the best graphics card for vegas 21 ?
How would you know? What is the "full power" of the hardware? @Reyfox The limiting factor here is the GPU decoder, With 6 tracks of 4K50 10bit the decoder runs at 97%, and it takes a few seconds to stabilize, so the weak point should be the single

RE: 10 Bit Video in Vegas Pro 22 - What Project Settings to Use?
You're leaving out the key element... At the camera's native resolution. Even if cameras did that, I don't see how it would help. If a 6k or 8k sensor only captures 2 elements per pixel, which they all do, the missing elements would still need to be

[Solved] Toolbar button for "Enable Multicamera Editing"

RE: [Solved] Vegas 17 Platinum - multi camera editing... HELP please!
It looks like you are selecting multiple events, not tracks. Hold Ctrl while clicking each track header. Also, it's a good idea to Render copies to New Tracks before creating the Multicam Track. You'll be glad you did.

[Solved] 4K rendering with alpha channel?
Hi all,   Is there a way to do a 4k render with alpha channel in Vegas Pro?   I'm trying to do one of those virtual-orchestra videos, but the twist here is that I'm also trying to mimick a multicam by cropping, zooming and panning this video (layer)
