AI in Vegas Post 21

Upgrade to Vegas Post ver21. The AI specifications state several specs for AI. I have Win 11 22H2. An AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Eight Core CPU (3.8GHz-4.7GHz/36MB CACHE/AM4) with a 12GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3060 - HDMI, DP, LHR along with with 64Gb ram. I am sadly not to tech savvy. Will my system fit the spec to run the AI in version 21 please? Thank you John

Yes, any recent NVIDIA GPU like yours will work fine

@pioneer109 Yep, you are more than good to go.

@pioneer109 There's an AI Torture Test you can try here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSedu2yBPAJHYN-qAW8r2O0c_NbJf2_XF3zsRlB1lUGNFQp8rg/viewform?usp=sharing

The form has a tips and notes section you might find helpful. The original version is a very small self-contained project. The Hiker version is a little larger with a 4k media clip.

Vegas use GPU for IA or intel CPU extensions? The package we install is from intel so I think Vegas is using some AVX extensions or AMX or something on the CPU.

VEGAS uses the GPU for machine learning/AI. It was Intel OpenVino but it switched platforms to Microsoft Onnx partway through 20 (with somewhat different results and much better performance as seen in the VP 20 render benchmark in my signature).

CUDA saves the day on my laptop:

Vegas didn't actually drop OpenVino, it added Onnx and switched to using it when an Amd or Nvidia gpu is selected in Video Preferences. It still uses OpenVino if an Intel igpu or Arc is selected. Not sure which lib it uses if no gpu is selected but AI processing then goes to the cpu.
