AMD VCE Missing

Why don't I see AMD VCE anymore? I used to see it and now I don't Same build. Nothing has changed. I see Intel and I don't have intel at ALL. Why am I having this problem? In this system I have a 6700 amd card and it is showing. But it never uses it now because I don't see AMD VCE. I am so tired of problems with Vegas. I've been going thru a lot of them trying to render wmv. I normally don't render in wmv but I have to work with what I'm given. Vegas and wmv dont get along

I tried re-installing it twice, to get rid of all vegas files and theres always files left behind. I search ssd for vegas files but that is not enough. I hate it when software spread their files all over instead of having a specific folder where you can easily delete and reinstall clean Being paranoid about people stealing your product hinders the experience of paid users like me.

I went thru every single thing and the problem is finally fixed. I even reinstalled amd driver. The official one not the beta. I had the beta before. But I can't really say which one was the one that created the problem. Clean reinstall of both vegas pro and amd drivers fixed it.

Hi, the issue with missing AMD VCE only occurs in the latest drivers (supporting RSR and FSR - driver - 22.5.2), I have reported the issue to AMD and we will see if it improves with the next update. Reverting to any previous drivers resolves the lack of these options.
It's also possible that something is on the Vegas side, because e.g. Handbrake still works without any problem.

Today was realeased newest AMD drivers - amd-software-adrenalin-edition-22.7.1-win10-win11-july26.exe  but missing VCN encoder error is still present :-( As before, other apllication don't have this problem, only Vegas Pro :-(

No problem here with 22.7.1. Tested with both vp18 and vp19 using a 5700xt on win10. If the problem is not board-specific, a display driver clean-out with DDU might help.

Hello, so this problem is really, really weird. Yesterday AMD made a new driver release amd-software-adrenalin-edition-22.8.1-win10-win11-aug12.exe and the problem still exists (on 6600 XT). So I used DDU, completely reinstalled Vegas, also.... reinstalled all of Windows 11 (completely including formatting the disk) - and the error is still the same - no AMD VCE in Vegas on drivers latest than 22.5.1. Other applications work fine (DaVinci, Handbrake, Blender, Openshot) - only Vegas has the problem. And I'm not the only one - there are many topics on Reddit about the same problem. So it is 100% a Vegas problem, not a driver problem.

Just to be clear, I later did experience the 22.7.1 issue of reds changing to blue and reverted to the 22.5.1 recommended by amd to fix it. 22.7.1 and 22.8.1 are experimental beta drivers and you should stay away from them unless your need them to run one of the specific games they are tailored for.... it that's why you need the beta driver, the Vegas Channel Blend FX can be used to neutralize its negative effect on Vegas as reported in this other thread... but you'll have to put it in ever one of your projects.
