Hello,
when i today started Vegas Pro 19.0 and wanted render my video. It change completly colours after rendering. I try start up new profile and try ''test'' render of older video. Same result. Reinstall didn't help either.

But after rendering the ''yellow strips'' change into blue/cyan

My setting is always same.

In all my videos old/new are some sort of colour difference and i absolutly dont know why. In one video my character is wearing a red armor and after render the armor changed colour into blue. For capture iam using OBS studio with Colour Space:709 and Colour Range: Partial. The format of video is mp4.

You have some sort of fx filters enabled at both the event and output levels. If your source is a still image, also try enabling the Computer->Studio RGB Levels filter to normalize the output. Try a fresh project, and begin here if you have further issues.

iEmby wrote on 8/4/2022, 3:07 PM

yes similar thing happens to my VEGAS too.

I have AMD graphics card

but i found a solution on my own.

just change pixel format in project settings to 32 bit color (Full)

The latest AMD driver v22.7.1 is known to cause semi-inverted colors in Vegas. Downgrading to 22.5.1 WHQL will correct it.

Musicvid wrote on 8/4/2022, 7:50 PM

@daniel-t Would you have time to further document this issue, perhaps with a couple of screenshots showing the issue and driver versions involved? I'm sure the developers will want to get on top of this, perhaps not in the first release of VP20, but in an early update.

Basically, this in Vegas 19 643:

Becomes this when "AMD Adrenalin 22.7.1 Optional" is installed:

I should note that rendering to Intel QSV or software/CPU results in correct output on my system, but seemingly not for others. Perhaps depends on whether any GPU-accelerated processing is involved. I would assume that rendering using an AMD VCE encoder would probably have broken colors as well, however on my system while 22.7.1 is installed, all the AMD VCE rendering options drop out of Vegas.

Everything goes back to normal, including AMD VCE rendering options, when I downgrade to 22.5.1.

Wow!

Kharneth_Blocker wrote on 8/5/2022, 8:29 AM

Hey,
yes iam using older AMD graphic card - Radeon RX 470 Graphic and have newest driver instaled.
I found ''fix'' to my problem via playing with colours. If i put on my recorded Video FX>Colour>Channel Blend>RGBA->BGRA. The colours in render are fixed and have their original vaule. For editing itself i use same Effect on ''preview screen'' and before render i turn it off.

Preview in Vegas show how it should looks like

But after rendering the ''yellow strips'' change into blue/cyan

My setting is always same.

RGBA->BGRA OFF

RGBA->BGRA ON

Howard-Vigorita wrote on 8/7/2022, 2:06 AM

@Kharneth_Blocker Thanks for that. Had no idea the Channel Blend FX could do that. Now I can turn the red car blue without the 22.7.1 driver. Or green.

Reyfox wrote on 8/8/2022, 4:29 AM

@Howard-Vigorita and @Kharneth_Blocker, does using the latest 22.7.1 provide anything that will be advantageous to editing with Vegas?

Paul-Steen wrote on 8/8/2022, 2:14 PM

Can anyone tell me if there is regular video stabilization in Vegas Pro 19?

j-v wrote on 8/8/2022, 2:25 PM

@Paul-Steen
It's not so clever to ask something in a comment on another topic, but to answer your question: yess Vegas Pro 19 has 2 stabilization effects of its own.

Something strange. Paul, start a new thread for your problem where it's more likely to get attention.

@Howard-Vigorita and @Kharneth_Blocker, does using the latest 22.7.1 provide anything that will be advantageous to editing with Vegas?

@Reyfox I don't think so. The docs only mention patches for some specific games.

Reyfox wrote on 8/13/2022, 3:10 PM

Thanks Howard! I didn't think so. I believe a lot of the updates are exactly that, game fixes. Now, there is a Pro graphics driver. Have you ever tried them?

Howard-Vigorita wrote on 8/13/2022, 11:32 PM

I used the Enterprise drivers for a while till I got the 6900xt and saw the regular ones had fixes that pertained to it. I tried 22q2 on the 6900xt and it didn't make it through my overnight Vegas benchmark script. Also crashed Resolve. So I backed out of it. Resolve is still not great but doesn't crash. Looks like amd changed the name from Enterprise to Pro. I imagine a de-gamed 22.5.1 driver will probably be rolled into the next 22q3 Pro release and hope to switch to it when it comes out.

You may like to try two days ago released AMD Adrenalin 22.8.1 optional driver

@Howard-Vigorita, thanks again for your expertise in this. Blazing the trail so I don't have to!!

@Cielspacing it's an optional. It might work, or might not. But if you read the release notes, it says:

VCE presets may be in mixing in VEGAS Pro™ with some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6600 Graphics.

DaVinci Resolve™ Studio 17 may crash using AMD encoder on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6900 XT Graphics.

Today 22.8.2 official driver was released.
