[BUG] Video Event FX window position & size are not remembered on exit

NickHope wrote on 3/5/2020, 11:53 AM

Just following up the issue reported here (and discussed and acknowledged a bit later in that thread) whereby the Video Event FX window position & size are not remembered on exit.

I am not seeing that problem in VP17 build 421, with Windows 10 Pro version 1511, Radeon HD6970, and High DPI scaling OFF.

Those who do suffer this problem (e.g. @Karsten-Semmer, @Sr_Garcia & @fifonik), what are your OS version, GPU & status of High DPI scaling?

Same here

W10 Pro, GTX1080, Display scaling 100%, HiDPI scaling is OFF

Was the first time with the penultimate update and was not done with the new one.

I'm still not seeing this problem after upgrading my GPU to Vega 64 with AMD enterprise driver 20.Q1.1.

Was the first time with the penultimate update and was not done with the new one.

@PhilippZ Unfortunately I don't understand what that means.

Sorry Nick!

I have the same issue "Video Event FX window position & size are not remembered on exit" since the last Update and current with the new Update (build 421) I still have the issue.

I downloaded the newest Nvidia driver, but the issue is not fixed.

When I open FX window resize it and close Vegas.
When open Vegas again FX window remember position.

When I open FX windows resize it close FX window and close Vegas.
After that FX window not remebered.

Vegas Pro 17.0.421
Windows 10 Home
CPU: i7 - 8700
GPU: NVIDIA 1080 (442.19 studio driver)

Maybe this will help solve the problem

@musko Thank you. Same here, and it explains why there seemed to be differences between systems. The issue does not exist for me in VP15 or 16. So I have added it to the known issues post:

  • [VP17+] If closed, the Video Event FX window last position & size are not remembered on exit.

If anyone does not see this problem, please shout.

Wow. I have not even thought that one might keep FX/Crop window opened all the time =)

In a similar vein, choice of Toolbar *off* in timeline window isn't saved between sessions. This has been the case for some time I think?

I had the opportunity to investigate this and resolve it, however it was too late to get into this recent update. Sorry about that.

OK, then I imagine it will be solved in the next update?
Thank you.
