Can someone suggest me a suitable settings for H.264 - Voukoder

pls checkout my signatures for my system & graphic card information.
as i want actually a render setting for Voukoder which i want to use as auto render in my script.
just look at this once.

my format preferences is MP4 (H.264).

this is my current settings

actually in this settings it is making my video & audio unsync after render.

No one can suggest meaningful Voukoder settings without knowing the "intended use" for each of the outputs.

Steve_Rhoden wrote on 8/18/2024, 7:20 AM

Try not using H.264 (AMD AMF) and just use the basic default H.264 option, and don't select Enable faststart under the output Tab.

Once you have posted the required file properties, output intentions, and quality vs. speed preferences, someone here "may" be able to help you.

For standard rendering, start with the default templates for H264X/H265X which adepts the project resolution and framerate.

Voukoder can also use your GPU for faster rendering. Also it's possible to use ordinary VBR rendering. It's up to you.

@john_dennis @Steve_Rhoden @mark-y

thanks guys for Ur responses.

pls check below my requirement for renders

  1. firstly i need all renders only in mp4 formats.
  2. secondly i need the best quality which can be rendered as per original footage for YouTube videos of my clients and mine no matter those are coming with speed or quality setting.
  3. Neither i want very large size of render file nor i want too small size. 15000 bitrate also enough for me.
  4. No latency. My videos and audios should be same synced as i edit in my project.

if there is anything more you need to know..

please ask me.

As said before, start with the default H264x/H265x templates to get superb quality at smallest filesize. These are not the fastest renders, but best compared to quality/filesize.

It defines everything. Other inventions will always make things worse.

As always you can make things worse when starting to tweak settings without purpose and knowledge. Therefore Voukoder has already some excellent templates to start with...

Can Voukoder render to TIFF?

mark-y wrote on 8/18/2024, 12:33 PM

Then you need not worry much over the settings in Voukoder. Their stock templates exceed the quality ceiling that Youtube imposes, usually by a significant margin. Don't give Youtube any Interlaced, Anamorphic, or RGB video, only YUV Progressive 1:1.

Here's one more. I never really tested h.264/avc HD renders before and was surprised to see little significant quality difference for any of the choices. Unlike hevc 4k, your Voukoder amf was marginally the best hardware accelerated HD/AVC at 15 mbps. The x264 and MainConcept codecs can do marginally better yet. But being cpu-only, they are noticeably slower.

Btw, I got identical results with faststart on or off. The Voukoder renders were all long-gop size 250, the only difference I could see being the flag. YouTube prefers faststart. Otherwise it won't begin processing until the upload is complete, which ties them up longer.
