AK-Debris wrote on 1/9/2023, 8:35 PM

First of All I Love Vegas Pro, I learned to use on a cracked version at 14 years old and I been using it ever since. I bought Vegas as a adult bcuz I wanted the full experience and to support my fav software but maaan I've been really pissed, it's been driving me insane !! I Love Vegas but Vegas doesnt love me :(

Damn bro it keeps Crashing While RenderingΒ I tried everything .. it worked for a bit while doing my last video, i end up converting the part that had it stuck ... but in this current project, I used the same media file, twice .. first time it caused no render prob second time in the timeline is a issue... come on man

And since im here talking vegas issues, why are you guys not on Mac bruh ... seriously, u understand money dont grow trees but U have a giant like Sony behind you, and you make enough off these sales to drop a Mac version. I love PC but bro I crave a day where editing doesnt feel like pulling my own teeth out

HALP thx love u bye
I'm AK Debris the rapper / YouTuber

I dont have an editor I do everything myself so pls help me im kinda stuck

Welcome to the forum.

For anybody on the forum to help, detailed information is needed about your Vegas Pro version and build number, your computer and the media that you are using. Please see https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/important-information-required-to-help-you--110457/ which will provide tdetailas about the information required.

... but U have a giant like Sony behind you ...

Not so. Sony sold Vegas Pro to MAGIX in 2016. The last Vegas Pro version under Sony ownership was version 13; all subsequent versions, 14 and onwards, have been developed and released under MAGIX ownership.

The questuion about a Mac version of Vegas Pro has been asked a few times over the years and the Vegas team has advised in the past that a Mac version is most unliikely given that it would mean starting a brand new build of Vegas Pro with brand new coding right from the very start, and that would also involve directing Vegas' small developement team away from further developement of the current PC version.

BRUH That answer sounds lazy and negative energy, like if Premeiere and every other software can do it, a LEGENDARY Software like Vegas has no excuse 😠 It's not like U guys are doing it for charity πŸ˜’πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

If anything Mac users got WAAAY harder time trying to crack / pirate , what U guys charge gonna make U alot more $$$ than U put in
πŸ€‘ I Love Vegas but the fact I paid this much and Just for 1 VERSION NO UPDATE, seriously bro ? MAGIX is not some indie on the come up, if they can afford Vegas off of Sony, they can don't let em tell U otherwise, I would've hired a Indian dude off Fivver before I made such exucse bro..

It's never coming out for Mac; between Final Cut, iMovie, Premiere and Resolve there isn't a clear market for it. No chance for profit, no investment.

Which i7 do you have exactly?
Hope the patch helps you but come back if it doesn't.

Damn hurt my feelings bro. I disagree but it's not like I run the company. If they stop being so money hungry and learn from FL studio maybe things will change. I dont like Premiere or Final Cut I bought a Mac cuz its suppsoed to be faster but no Vegas really hurt :(

Final Cut is a great program once you get used to it. At first it's quite frustrating though.

Type "system information" into the Windows search box and it will tell you your processor model number and other details.

That CPU seems to have an iGPU. Check preferences/ file io and make sure Intel (QSV) is doing decoding. Try to check and make sure you're on recent GPU drivers.

How did you do the conversion of the file? Try Shutter Encoder and give Vegas either ProRes or h264.

Beyond that a workaround can be to have Vegas work with another program to deliver renders. I use Voukoder myself (free) and haven't had crashes with it. voukoder.org/

Reyfox wrote on 1/10/2023, 6:27 AM

What has plagued current Vegas users? It's working quite well on my PC, both Vegas 19 and 20.

And before I purchase anything, I read the user forums and see if I can download a trial version to see how it works on my computer. Then I see what is required to actually run the software to make sure I have the hardware to do it.

Also, you are in a user to user forum. The only negative energy is brought in by users. No Mac version? I can understand from a business perspective as to why it's' a "no go". That's business.

@Dexcon gave you a link to provide the necessary information to maybe start getting you help. You haven't done that yet. Complaining about the the same thing over and over, yet providing no information, you put yourself in the position of not getting the help you desire.

@AK-Debris

I can only agree with @Reyfox.
Furthermore, I can assure you that about 95% of the cases in this forum have been closed positively when the problem owners have provided the necessary information and have performed the requested tests on their computer. Β

And last but not least, I can tell you from my more than 6 decades of life experience: Complaining - no matter how theatrically - is of no use at all - it's just wasted energy.

RogerS wrote on 2/25/2025, 8:41 AM

Disabling the GPU is more last resort than workaround.
