Crashes

Hello, I just upgraded to Vegas Movie Studio 17. I had been using version 16. It worked ok. I thought I would upgrade. However, whenever I add a MP4 video file from my Samsung Phone. The program crashes, and ask me to send log to technical support. To which I sent...many times.
Interestingly, when I add the same file in version 16. It works just fine. No problem.
I have tried uninstalling all of my previous versions, and then reinstalling 17. But still have the same problem.

Any thoughts or ideas? Appreciate it and bless you

Can you give the MediaInfo of such a mp4?
Or upload to a cloudservice a small file of the same origin, so we are able to try on our installations?

A bit more information. When I add video file from Sony in the format .mts. It works great, and does not crash. Thanks

Thanks for that smal file. Nothing wrong with, but it has variable framerate which Vegas sometimes refuse to load. But probably the difference in framerate is with this file not big enough because it loads normally on my VMS 17 Platinum and VMS 17 plain version. Look for 17Pl:

Thanks. Unfortunately, I am not even able to import the files into Sony Vegas 17. When I try to import in, this is when the program crashes. I am still working with it. Really appreciate your time and all your help. Bless you

I am not even able to import the files into Sony Vegas 17

That program does not exist, look here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/sony-vegas-vs-vegas--119881/
If that file cannot open something is wrong , what?????? No idea because it can have many reasons, from pirated software till unsufficient hardware or -settings.
So look here and give the information needed to help others: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/important-information-required-to-help-you--110457/
