enable Multicamera script

Hello,

@jetdv

Is it possible to turn on/enable Multicamera view by script in C#?

If no, is it any other possible way to enable this via script?

I didn`t see any similar methods in documentation.

I would like script to do these things:

a) CTRL + SHIFT + D; Tools>Multicamera>Enable Multicamera editing

and

b) Tools>Multicamera>Create multicamera track

You can use tools like Excalibur to do multi-cam but to activate the built-in multi-cam, you have to do that manually.

I hesitate to suggest this because I haven't tried simulating keystrokes in Vegas scripts myself. But I would try doing the Vegas c# script in Visual Studio to a dll. In order to call the SendInput() windows api function which emulates keyboard and mouse events. Like many things of this sort however, it might be easier said than done.

I tried emulate shortcut in Vegas Pro Scirpt in C#, but it doesn't work. Unfortunately. Moreover activating Multicamera is not available via shortcut :(

@marcinzm Hello, you can try out these 2 scripts that I did using the AutoHotKey app. I use both a lot. Just copy the 2 dll and the 2 .exe files to your Vegas Pro script folder. One script is for Enable Multicamera Editing, and the other is for Create Multicamera Track. Below is the link to download it. The password is 123.

I share the executes in C# which worked for me:

I know that this question comes from Vegas, and not from exe file from Thiago.

@marcinzm I have that doubt too. Maybe, @jetdv can give us a precise answer. But I think it is not possible to turn off that prompt question.

The problem is, you're not really doing this through C#. You have a "C#" script that is simply passing keypresses to VEGAS. If there were a way to do this through the API, they it might have included an option to bypass any dialogs (like starting a new project you can bypass the "should I save the current project" dialog.)

Perhaps it could pause and and press the keypress needed for the dialog too?
