Seems like Vegas wouldn't let you waste time rendering for a file that results in 0 bytes. The polite thing would be to give you a pop up telling you that you shouldn't waste your time as it will not give you what you want. The best thing would be to remove that from the rendering options if you have GPU acceleration turned off so that it's not even an option.

@j.razz My guess is there's a problem with Vegas dealing with the amd video driver for the igpu built into your cpu. You might want to check with Asus and make sure you're using the official driver for their hardware implementation. Using a general purpose video driver with a notebook or laptop is often a gamble. Also, haven't seen many Vegas users mention using systems with an amd igpu so not sure how much feedback is available from users with similar systems. Suggest you do a Vegas support request... maybe the developers have tested Vegas with such a system.
