Hi BuzzDee,

Nothing from Magix in my in box. Funny thing is, I got the upgrade offer just fine last month.

I do encounter the same problem like ken-p, but its no problem for me to use a new account.
Do I miss something from the old account?
Number of posts don't interest me.

Hi everbody,

to make everything crystal clear I just wanted to add a visual instruction for the reactivation of your old SCS account.

Step 1: The registration

Step 2: Registration successful page

Step 3: The welcome mail in your inbox with the restore profile link

Step 4: Sign in with your temporary account

Step 5: You profile has been restored successfully

Best regards,
Mathias

Hi Mathias,

Your solution does not work for me.

This is my account on Sony SCS:

This is my step 1:

At step 2 I dont get a mail but this :

Whatever I do, deleting my Magix.nl account with that email adress, deleting all accounts, waiting a day, nothing will give me back my old Sony account.

@martenk: You already have a MAGIX Account. Maybe because you have a MAGIX product or a magix.info Account or anything else. Please enter the password for that account on the last screen!

If you don't know the password click on the blue link "Forgot your password?" and request a password reset link and set a new one. After that enter this new password in the screen.

@all: your old SCS password won't work (otherwise you also choosed it for your MAGIX Account)...

After the registration you'll get the welcome mail with the restore button as MathiasH showed in the screens. If your martenk-Account now already was created with the old SCS mail you already should have the restore button mail. Then just login on the landing page as described.

For that account I used another emailadress:

I really don't care about that old Sony account unless I become for the future a problem with my registered software during the Sony period.

Thanks BuzzDee. Clicked on the link and it indicates that my SCS account has been restored.

In my case it took two clicks of the "restore profile now" link in the e-mail.  The first click took me to a thread of mine that I was viewing earlier, and my old profile was not restored.  The second click of the "restore profile now" link in the e-mail took me to the "restoring your profile" page, after which my proflie was restored.

I currently have an account here when I downloaded a trial of the Magix Music Maker last month. When I try to restore my profile from SCS I keep getting the message I already have an account and tried the above instructions about 5 times already and get the same message all the time that I already have an account. I don't want to loose all my serial numbers since they go back as far as Screen Blast Movie Studio 3. I have 19 products registered at this time with SCS. Nothing is working for me when I try to recover my old account.

Tom_ Kvichak.  Don't try to create a new password when you try to register.  Use your Magix login password and you will be fine.  You should receive an email to prompt you to restore your Sony profle.

BruceUSA, I didn't try to create a new password. When I try to register with my SCS password I get the same error message that I already have an account. When I use my Magix password, I get the same result. MathiasH has contacted me and said it will be worked on when they are back at work on Monday. Thanks anyway for your response.

Re-Entry complete. No issues at splashdown. Worked like Magic.

Worked for me! Thank you!

Made it on finally . Thank you MathiasH

I got a welcome email, but no restore button, and no activation link. What can I do now to get my SCS account back? Thanks.

jay-b wrote on 8/29/2016, 11:44 PM

I'm afraid I'm on the same boat as the others.  I got the welcome email, but no confirmation link or activation link.  Is there any way this can be resolved.

jelle-h wrote on 8/30/2016, 1:46 PM

Same here. I followed all steps correctly. All I got was a welcome mail with a "Write a post" button, no activation link.

None of you 3 used an email address that matches an migrated scs account. You have to make sure you register the same email that you used to log into your scs account. Note that scs accounts without posts have not been migrated.

Actually, I have.

The process of re-registering and then restoring was really confusing ... but worked fine, with a bit of effort.
