Missing AMD VCE on newest drivers than 22.5.1

Hello, yesterday AMD made a new driver release amd-software-adrenalin-edition-22.8.1-win10-win11-aug12.exe and the problem with missing AMD VDE during renedering still exists (on 6600 XT). I used DDU, completely reinstalled Vegas, also.... reinstalled all of Windows 11 (completely including formatting the disk), disable auto detecting hardware in settings, combine with use Legacy Support - and the error is still the same - no AMD VCE in Vegas of the rendering option. It happens on drivers latest than 22.5.1. Other applications work fine (DaVinci, Handbrake, Blender, Openshot) - only Vegas has the problem. And I'm not the only one - there are many topics on Reddit about the same problem. So it is 100% a Vegas problem, not a driver problem, so I wonder when and if this issue will be fix for Vegas Pro 19?

You should let AMD know as it's a driver problem and started with 22.5.2.

On top of that AMD has known issues with 22.8.1 for Vegas and Resolve so I'd highly recommend going back to 22.5.1 and waiting for AMD to sort it out. Returning to the older driver fixes the issue in Vegas 19 and 20.

Release notes for 22.8.1:

VCE presets may be in mixing in VEGAS Pro™ with some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6600 Graphics.

DaVinci Resolve™ Studio 17 may crash using AMD encoder on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6900 XT Graphics.

I confess, I did not check the release notes for the latest drivers, I relied on older ones and tests. And here they actually confirmed the problem with VCE. You can close/delete the topic.

Amd still lists 22.5.1 as recommended. There's a setting in the AMD console you should consider which will limit its update checks to 'Recommended'. You should only try an amd optional driver, which is beta btw, if you are hoping to correct a specific problem you are having with the recommended one.
