Moving Face Cam

Hello,

Please may someone help me, I've looked at countless videos and they are all no help. I'm not sure why it's so difficult to move my facecam for a tiktok/youtube short video and fill it up at the top. Each video tells me something different while in capcut it takes two clicks but I don't want to use capcut since I've spent my money on this application. Sorry for the stressed out message it's late and I'm trying to stay up to edit these videos but now I have to delay it to figure this out.

(The first picture of the female is what I'm trying to do - fill up the top while the gameplay on the bottom is playing)

Thank you! :)

If you are trying to replicate the vertical 9:16 image as shown in the example image above, you will first need to go to File/Properties in Vegas Pro and in the Templates field select a 9:16 (or code it manually using the other fields.

Then in the track header of the track containing the video that you want positioned at the top of the vertical image, click on the 3 dots at the far left of the track header and, in the context menu that opens, either select 'Track Motion' or select 'Edit Visible Button Set' and select 'Track Motion'. With the latter, a track motion icon will appear in the track header. Click on the track motion icon and in the workspace that opens, enable the 'Prevent Movement (X)' button and then move the image outline in the workspace upwards until it is positioned where you want it to be.

The video to be positioned under the top image would need a video track of its own and also positioned in place using track motion.

Please note that with track motion settings, the settings apply to every video placed on that track.
