NewBlue Titler products on VP14

I'm still waiting to get the proper information. I've asked again.

I have received 2 emails back from NewBlueFX about the Titler problem.  Both said the same thing, they gave me a solution but nothing attached or stated what the solution was.  But they did try a push sales of their products.

This is getting to be some VERY POOR support.

Here's a new update for Titler Express. My understanding at this time is:

1. This will fix the issues with the bundled Titler Express

2. This will fix the issues with purchased Titler Pro 4 and current (not legacy) Titler Pro 3 installs

No, this didn't fix anything with Titler pro 4 at all, costumer support told me 3 days ago that they are working on a new Titler pro 4 installer that will properly get everything back to normal, do you know when will be ready?

This did not fix the problem.  Still can not use the software!!!!!!!

jetdv wrote on 9/27/2016, 9:00 PM

If I just installed VP14, and not NBT Pro express; will it see the Title Pro 2 I have installed?

If you do NOT install the bundled NewBlue package, any Titler Pro 2, 3, or 4 already installed will remain.

No, support is not trying to "push sales of their products" to you. I'm the one you have been communicating with at NewBlue support and I certainly have not tried to push any other product at you. I have asked you questions to confirm what you do and do not have as some comments seemed to contradict what I was seeing in the product list but we both ended up agreeing on the products you should have.

I'm sorry I don't yet have a solution for everyone and am certainly trying to get one for everyone. I've been passing along information as well as relaying anything I've heard back. I've even asked additional questions about this last update I was sent as it was confusing to me as well. So please rest assured - I'm really trying hard to get you the information you need and will do so as soon as I have it.

Why not just separate them? I dont really need titler express at all but NewBlueFX looks effects yes, you are being very helpful btw.

Take your time Edward. Looking forward for the working updates, especially on TP4.

I have done system restore to previous stable condition of VP13, just before installing VP14.

Why does the bundle include only an older version of NB Titler, which was already included in the last Vegas bundle?

It doesn't. Vegas Pro 11 came bundled with Titler Pro 1. Vegas Pro 12 came bundled with Titler Pro 1. Vegas Pro 13 came bundled with Video Essentials VI. And now VEGAS Pro 14 comes bundled with Titler Express (basically the QuickEdit portion of Titler Pro 3) and the Suite version comes bundled with Titler Pro 3. So it is definitely not an older version.

ok, i am really dissappointed now :(

i was kinda happy with titler pro 3, used it very often.

i upgraded my vegas pro 13 to 14 and not knowing i registered the vegas Pro complete basic titling...

while installing i could see that it deleted stuff from titler pro 3!!!

so now i had this useless basic titling software which i did not need and can not use.

after being frustrated i thought : ok, i upgrade to titler pro 4 elite.

but:

after i finished and had installed the product now i was not able to activate the product, although i was logged in with my newblue account when i bought it, just my paypal adress was different and it tells me i have to log in with the right email adress!

but not enough: titler 4 Pro also does NOT appear in vegas Pro 13 / 14, both are hidden, not shown, only the %§&"§/ basic quick editor...

so now it seem i dropped alot of money out of the window and also killed my software which was working!

Updated: October 4, 2016 1:38 PM  - Following the directions from jetdv on reinstalling Titler Pro 4, solved my issues with not only Titler Pro 4, but also Vegasaur 3.  It might have been related to some of the older NewBlue products I can no longer purchase or download from their site; Lightning and Flash Remover.

I think there are releasing new installers soon.  You might want to try uninstalling any of the New Blue Titler entries in Add Remove Programs and just reinstall Titler Pro 4.  My Titler Pro 4 shows up in VP14 Pro Edit.  I did not upgrade to Pro this time, because I already have Mercalli V4, Titler Pro 4 Ultimate, and DVDA.  I do experience a "hang" when leaving Titler Pro 4 QuickEdit mode back to the timeline, but I believe they are working on resolving that.

Will Jetdv please explain something to me.  I have used the bundled VP11 NewBlueTitler1 for years now off and on and still used it as recently as a month ago.  I buy VegasPro14 and it installs (a nonworking) TitlerExpress that DELETES my Titler1 that I still use in various ongoing projects.   What am I supposed to do if I want go back and make a tweak to one of those projects!!??   Why did you delete software that belongs to us and not even bother telling us during the installtion.  Warning: By installing this TitlerExpress software you will delete any existing NewBlueTitler on your computer.   Or something like that.  Please tell me what I am missing here.

Now that Magix owns Vegas, it is highly probable that they will replace NB Titler with something much more stable. Namely, their own Heroglyph titler. This would allow them direct control over quality and increase their own revenue stream instead of paying for a third-party license.

Heroglyph is not a Magix product. It's from ProDAD.

Tech Diver wrote on 9/29/2016, 10:20 AM

I thought Magix owns ProDAD. I will double check my info.

Marco. wrote on 9/29/2016, 10:24 AM

I'm not aware of any business relationship between ProDAD and Magix. Different places, different CEOs.

Tech Diver wrote on 9/29/2016, 10:29 AM

I stand corrected, my information was wrong. Well in any case, I really think we need a more stable titling product than NB. I have tried it a couple of times and did not have the patience to deal with all the bugs. I now use the titler in Boris Red.

I did not receive the bundled software but did receive the serial numbers when I upgraded on Sunday afternoon.  Sorry I had not found this thread or the upgrade would have been delayed.  I have contacted Magix Customer support about the missing software but it appears that may or may not help.  Too bad the demo looks really good.

After much activity with NBTP4Uli installers, Edward's and Caleb's support I have a stable setup both in VP13 and VP14 - except for that Script ERROR on Exit of VP14. I have been informed directly from Support that this will be cured within the next Install iteration.

I like NBTP4Uli. I find its simple and abbreviated GUI works for me. Added to which I can make Global changes or individual GenMed updates through the "spreadsheet" - neat.

Thanks to both Edward and Caleb for pushing this thing along.

I like NBTP4Uli.

Grazie, what do think about NBTP 4 compared to NBTP2? I have v 2 and although it was erased when installing 3 express I can still reinstall it over. But I also contemplate 4. But $350 is a lot for titling I not often use. Is it worth the money to go from 2 to 4?

Quitter wrote on 9/29/2016, 4:37 PM

I'm still in contact with Edward and Caleb, and i'm good things that it is working properly soon.
Incl. the whole libary and the script issue.

Martin, here's a link to the comparison chart from the early NBTP1 > 4.

"Titler Pro 4 delivers the best-integrated titling solution, now more than ever."

https://www.newbluefx.com/upgrade-titler-pro-4

Look, I got NBTP4Uli at the Upgrade Offer, which then was just over half price (yeah!). But I had been keeping my eye on this for sometime and I had already decided that when and if I saw an enticing come-and-get-me offer I was going to jump. Sure, it's had its issues with VP13 (and some!), but I've always felt that both the company's treatment of me and their other mainstay for me ColorFast, it was going to be a company I could do business with. And yes, it's been tough.

Can you get a Demo to play with?
