@Keisha-Felix: Even though the GPU doesn't meet required specs, we should be able to play this back. Would you be able to upload a sample file which has been problematic for you to a file share which our team could use to diagnose the problem? We have received a few other reports of people having problem with some XAVC footage and we would like to get this fixed.

None of my Sonys have those transfer characteristics, is this an older camera?

xvYCC seems to be a way of achieving an extended gamut with negative tone curve values.

It’s the Sony ZV-1. I bought it in August. I’ve had issues with editing videos from this camera ever since I purchased it. But previously restarting my laptop or deleting old files from my laptop did the trick. Not the case with my latest project.

RogerS wrote on 1/31/2023, 6:04 PM

Thanks Keisha, interesting to see this in a new camera. Can you upload a short file with your usual settings to Google Drive, Box, etc?

If VegasDerek can figure it out maybe this can be fixed for you and for all the other users of this camera.

Did you shoot using Picture Profile 10 HLG2? Until this gets sorted out, you might consider using one of the other nine Picture Profiles that the camera offers.

I don't see glitches on my laptop FWIW (NVIDIA 1050/Intel HD 630).

For that camera I'd recommend Cine 2/still for pretty good color without much extra work and slightly extended dynamic range.

Your camera does a very good job and your environment is attractive and well lit. I noticed exposure hunting unnecessarily. I'd shoot in Manual mode with the shutter speed at 120 and the ISO in a tight band appropriate for the lighting conditions. Though I shoot Cine 1 and Cine 2 for sporting events, it may not be necessary in your environment since everything seems well controlled.

@Keisha-Felix

Thank you for providing this media. I am not seeing the issues you are having during my testing on 3 of my machines. My initial suggestion would be to turn off any Intel/QSV GPU related preferences (in the General, Video and File I/O preferences). If that does not help, please create a support ticket.

Plays perfectly on my old and under spec system with V20 latest build. Nice looking video. Not a Vegas issue but a hardware issue I would say.
