Please fix the long broken Spin transition (under 3D blinds FX tab).

kplo wrote on 2/21/2023, 1:46 PM

I recall mentioning this a couple of years ago and it was verified by other users back then. The last part of the spin has a pattern overlayed on the image. The old 32 bit version of Satish's 3D LE program worked perfectly, as did older versions of Vegas (7 & 8?). I haven't found an alternate way to do this in Vegas 16 other than the broken spin transition. Pretty much everything else works as expected. I'm on Win 7...bought V18, but haven't gone to Win 10 yet, so it has limited usability with my OS (the issue persists in V18 with a test render).

This happens with all media in SD, HD and UHD.

Any help is much appreciated.

Ken

Maybe you should consider updating your OS - WIN 10 will also no longer be supported from autumn 2025.
The current operating system is WIN 11.

No, it doesn't. Examine the right half of the frame when the transition goes past the mid point. I can see the issue in your example, even though the bricks etc. tends to mask it somewhat. Easily visible in Vegas 13, 16,18 even with solid color media generated bits over a BG color. I think the issue began with 64 bit Vegas.

@kplo Is this what you are referring to?

3POINT wrote on 2/21/2023, 4:05 PM

@VEGASDerek I think @kplo means the noise on the right edge after the spin.

It appears as if the transparency doesn't remain constant for the duration of the transition.

@VEGASDerek: It's in the right part of the Xansition (closer to the right edge) after the mid point. 3Point and John Dennis's examples show the artifacting/transparency issue clearly just as I have experienced. Other transitions I've used work as expected.

Got it. Thank you. I will look to add this to our bug backlog.
