PREVIEW LAG

Hello everybody , i got my new laptop ( i7 7700HQ, 16GO DDR4 , GTX 1060GB, SSD 250GB it's a powerfull laptop ) but i can't do editing in SVP15 ( i use Windows 10 ) preview lag to much ( my only solution is SHIFT+B but i take to much time)and i don't understand my laptop is more powerfull than my older laptop ( i5 8go intel graphics 4000 ) but in SVP they are the same in term of power preview please help me to optimize my SVP15 ( because i want to broke my new laptop i buy it to make editing and i can't ) i take every hacks that you have ( And it's better to use my i7 or my gtx in SVP ? , Windows 10 or 7 , )

I mean if you're editing AVC (which is the same as H.264) video then you should try disabling so4compoundplug.dll as explained in the link. If you are not sure what the format of footage on your timeline is, tell us how it was created (what camera or program), or post MediaInfo and Vegas Properties.

That is exactly when preview is likely to get worse (less smooth). My point 1 still applies if it's AVC source.

An NVIDIA GTX graphics card IS a GPU. If you are asking whether it's better to use the integrated Intel HD graphics on your CPU, or your NVIDIA GTX graphics card, then just try it! You should update the driver for your GTX to the latest version. Note that support for Intel HD graphics in VP15 seems good, so you might find that is the better choice. But that might change as updates to VP15 are released, and NVIDIA might become the better choice.

I have not changed this figure for many years. I leave it at default 200. But some other have success by setting it to zero. Others set it much higher. You should experiment with this setting after you have tried the other suggestions.
