Rendering Crash on complex projects

luke-v wrote on 3/12/2017, 1:21 PM

Hello,

I am currently using Sony Vegas Pro 14 64bit (Build 211), on a Windows 10 Pro 64bit, with following hardware:

  • Intel Core i7-3770 CPU @3,40 GHz,
  • 16 GB RAM
  • NVIDIA DeForce GTX 1060 6GB

First two months of using Vegas Pro on this machine I had no problem whatsoever, everything was smooth and fine: but, since 1 month, I simply can't work properly.

Everytime I try to render ANY project in .mp4, 30 or 60fps, 720p or 1080p, render will simply crash after some time without even an explanation: the only way I have to render a video is to split it in 2-3 videos and render them, and then create a new project, paste all these videos and do ANOTHER render to have a final video (who has a not-so-good quality, since I rendered it 3 times). This is REALLY time expensive, time that I simply do not have...

This error, however, occurs only in "complex" projects (more than 3 video tracks): in simpler projects, this error does not occur.

I did ALL professional tests for my hardware by a friend of mine who has a IT shop, and results are that my hardware is perfectly fine, no problems even on hard work, no outdated driver (well, W10 autoupdates them so it's not really a problem...).

I tried to disable CPU multi-core rendering, tried to use "Render using only CPU", tried literally every single "tutorial" I found, but no explanation and no solution...

Since I do videos as a job, I REALLY need to fix this problem: does someone had my same issue, or knows how to solve this?

Thanks a lot to everyone,

Luca

That could be exactly your problem. Try disabling GPU acceleration.

Most of the time render crashes are caused by media or graphic card drivers. Need more info.

Already tested, not working!

Are the two audio streams used in your Vegas Pro project?

In this project no, usually I use both of them, I deleted one of them during editing pressing U and then deleting the entire audio track... does this create any problem?

I'm not sure. If you suspect it does, remux the source with the preferred audio stream.
