replace single low rez proxies with multiple high res originals ?

Videographer did a 4 camera shoot of my concert. He sent me low res temp files to edit with 1 long file for each camera.

I edited the show with the understanding that once I got the full res files it is easy to replace the low res proxies with full res files.

Now he has shipped me a HDD with the full res but b/c of the camera card file system each file from the Camera is max 2gb so Camera creates a New file every 11 minutes

So now it is not so simple to to just replace the four files b/c it is not a one to one replace.

the C100 low res proxie file has 7 corresponding MTS files.

The C300 low res proxie file has several corresponding Mxf files each in a different folder

The GH4 low res proxie file has 16 corresponding mov files.

The PPro low res proxie file has 9corresponding MP4 files.

So I hope I dont have to start all over again b/c I have already edited the 90 minute concert from the low res proxies I got right after the concert - there must be a way to tell VEGAS that my single c100 long file is to be replaced by the 7 corresponding MTS files and so on. I hope someone can please point me in the right direction to getting this done.

Many thanks

The files need to be joined into one to match the low res versions. Search this forum as there have been posts on this problem.

It's a little late now but for future reference the better practice is to join your original clips 1st and make the proxies from them to insure the match is exact. I also find it helpful during edit to be able to bounce back and forth which Vegas does easily if you make the proxies in Project Media... after which setting Vegas preview to Good will preview the original and lower settings will preview the proxy... while all renders automatically use the original.

I know it sounds like a hassle, but your camera manufacturer(s) should have a free utility to rejoin the clips.

Join the clips and render to intermediates. Then you should be able to replace the proxies with the new files.

Use ffmpeg to concatenate the files together.
