Sony XAVC-HS laggy even w/proxies

FYI, VP current build/Nvidia RTX 4060 Laptop GPU, Sony XAVC-HS 4k so laggy almost unusable on Vegas timeline *even when using proxies*. Not talking playback--I'm talking about ability to trim and move around on the timeline. 23 has been remarkably stable for me otherwise (though not issue-free). I can upload sample footage to developers if wanted but I assume this is already on your radar

@ALO Try transcoding the media to something more basic and, instead of using Vegas default proxies, do media-folder substitution instead. It's done via Project Media, Swap Video Files. After edit, you can then swap back to the original media folder for final render.
