I use a Intel I9900K CPU and an Geforce 2060 Plus videocard for my Vegas Pro 22 (Suite). I'm still satisfied with this version. Will version 23 bring benefits for me although I use an I9900K CPU?
I feel I should mention that not all users who have V23 find it faster than V22. I for one find V22 significantly faster in all aspects of editing than V23. I use an i9900K CPU and an RTX 4080 super GPU. 3Point is right to suggest you try the trial version first to see what performance you get. There is no doubt that V23 is currently a work in progress and will likely be a great version when updated by Vegas team, there have been many bugs reported which are currently being worked on and the indications are that sometime this month an update will be released.
I'm sticking with vp22 for audio editing into the foreseeable future. Mostly because I do substantial audio envelope editing where vp22 is dramatically faster and smoother compared to vp23. In fact, I've found every prior version of Vegas is night-and-day superior at envelope editing compared to vp23.
For video editing with late-model Nvidia gpus however, it's the other way around or me, with vp23 being much quicker in multicam edit mode, color grading with CGP (especially on adjustment events), and Nvidia rendering. My only disappointment on the video side is Nvenc rendering seems to be optimized strictly for streaming... it's fine for YouTube uploading but I need to use slower MainConcept or QSV, whose performance is similar to vp22, to render anything that I need to bring back to a Vegas timeline. If you do substantial video-envelope editing however, vp23 may not be right for you... thankfully, I don't do much with video envelopes.
I’ve only used 23-302 to validate issues that other people report.
Same here.
On my Win 10 PC, VP-23 also renders AVC and HEVC slower than VP-22. Also simple 'titles and text' from VP-22 and prior versions are off-center and stretched (all properties and settings being equal) which must be redone.. adding time and frustration. I still use VP-9 to mix some music projects using some irreplaceable 32 bit DX plug-ins to get 'the sound'.
